Faux
It costs $14.99 per month. Gets a bit cheaper as you buy the packages. That's in USD as well. http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowbill ... =abl01025p If you wanna play, some stores here have a prepaid sort of thing. So just go to your gaming shop, buy a month prepaid game cards, then use it. http://www.blizzard.com/support/wowbill ... =abl01266p :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
willyhenriksen
WoW is so much better, but if you don't have to play online i would suggest Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion, best game i've ever played. R.I.P. Shiva and Steve
hohto
The one you feel like playing most. No1 else can decide which game is the best for you. Test other games if you can, ask your friends' opinions and such, but in the end you're the one who makes the decicion. Personally I've done mine and it's RS. I'd rather die for what I believe in than live for anything else.Name Removed by Administrator ~Turtlefemm
tefda
at the moment i play runescape, im a member and have a income of around $40 a week australian (cashier at kfc) this means that runescape costs $12 a month a few of my friends play world of warcraft and say that runescape doesnt compare to world of warcraft at all. my friend said that WoW costs $10 a month so it would be cheaper to get that i also know there are other good games like everquest and guild wars if i get WoW can i have multiple accounts or just 1? (so both my brothers can play as well) can i play WoW on other computers using my account or not? how exactly do u pay? can sum1 help? Where are you getting $12 a month? Is that including fees and whatnot for a phone service? But besides that, World of Warcraft costs about $15 a month if you purchase individually. You can get it down to $13 dollars a month if you go for a six month package (but you pay all the cash up front so it'll look like a lot more). I did the 14 day trial of World of Warcraft and I must say I loved the game so much. For the weekends that I could play the game I just kept on playing for hours and hours it's one of the most beautiful and entertaining games I've ever played. I got up to level 13-14 in just two weeks (less than that actually) and the cap is 60. When you get your account you'll have multiple character slots in which you can create different characters. I believe that they must be on the same side (but I'm not sure on that). You can only log into one account (which encompasses all of your characters) at a time so you'd never play alongside of your brothers. Now you also mentioned playing WoW on other computers as well. Remember that WoW is not browser based and is a CD game so whatever computer you go to will require a copy of the game already on the computer, but otherwise you CAN log onto your account from a different computer. I know this for a fact as a cyber cafe that many of my nerdier friends frequent go there to play WoW as a group at times. Now the choice between playing WoW, Runescape, or other MMORPG's all rely on your personal preferences. Do you want stunning visuals and have the support of a HUGE international community and developers that have had around thirty years experience making games, and are you willing to pay both for the game($30-$50) as well as a monthly fee($13-$15)? If so, go for World of Warcraft. I was going to write more on reason to stick with Runescape primarily because you've already started with it and joined a community for it and are probably paying for the game as well, but in comparison to WoW there are few reasons to stick with the game. If you feel no connection to the game and are quite willing to jump ship and move to a new game then I suggest not going with World of Warcraft at first. The game costs quite a lot and from your figures given (of your salary) you earn about $2080 a year ($40*52 weeks, which is probably not true as you don't work every week of the year). Since you are an actual employee and are not being paid under the table you'll have a 401k (some form of a retirement plan required by the law, not sure what they call it in Australia) which is about 25% of your yearly salary which is $520 leaving you with $1560 for the year. Thus with your initial payment of (worst case scenario) $50 and (this time best case scenario) the six month package of $13 each month ($78 in which you pay twice so actually $156 a year) you end up with $1354 left over. You'd have to deal with your own personal savings and whatnot and I hope you're not living on that income, but nonetheless you'd still make out well. You're still losing out on $156 a year. I would instead suggest Guild Wars which is a very stylized game and with no monthly fees. You purchase the game and then when updates come out you MAY purchase them but there is no need to do so and in fact sometimes they make free updates for all users. You'll only be losing $50 for one year and that's it. Now you may ask me why I'm not playing Guild Wars. For me I do not like to give up on a game in which I've come so far. I've done so much in Runescape and I want to continue the game for as long as I can and while I'm "powerful" in Runescape it's difficult to start up as a "newb" again in a brand new game (which is why I prefer to join a game when it first starts up that way everyone is a "newb" and everyone is discovering at the same time instead of some people being years/levels ahead). Really it's your choice. Read up on the games, look at screenshots. Don't read reviews or look for the opinions of others as most of us have different tastes for games than you do. You're better off making a choice for yourself and doing the research for yourself (it's a better learning experience). That's my two-cents. Lionheart_0
I play WoW, and i greatly recomend it. It can be a bit expensie, but if you get the game cards (around $30 and for 2 months) you can deffinitly afford with your sallary. It is an excellent game, with tons of new things to always do and see. About the chracters, you can have up to 10 characters on each server, and there is about 50-70 servers im guessing, so thats 500-700 characters. They dont all have to be on the same side. Although it can be taken from a story aspect and played allmost all single player, its very fun to acutly feel like your in a war and to battle the opposing forces. Edit: i do have to warn you though, the WoW servers seem to be compleatly unstable, and they are doing tons of services each week. So i sugges tyou make charactgers on a few servers so that if one server goes, not all your characters are gone. Sig by IkuraiYour Guide to Posting! Tigra00
Dear, dear Lionheart. :P There is something like 1,000+ servers for WoW, I do believe. Considering 6 million players total, 70 or so wouldn't cut it. I think on the USA-side alone I have well over 200 different choices for servers. I play on Perenolde, personally. Lion is right, though...You can have 10 per server, but you only get one "account". It's much different than RS. You cannot "server-hop". You're on ONE server with your characters, your account can be used on all the servers, however. I play on Perenolde, a PvE server, and Warsong, a PvP server, for example. $15 USD is a correct price. You can pay via credit card, game cards, and I *think* money orders, but don't quote me on the last one. Yes, the game is 100% worth it. End-game kind of sucks because only "hardcore" players get all the AMAZING gear, but iof you don't care about that, you can still get "good" gear and have a blast. I reccomend a Rogue, Warrior, Mage, Warlock something like that as a first class, they're the best to solo with for beginners, Warrior's die a bit until level 40 (plate armor and instant attacks) but it's worth it after that. The popularity of any given religion today depends on the victories of the wars they fought in the past. - Me!

SLOWSTORM
You should play Zelderex. It restarts tomorrow, and is downright fun! (doesn't take a whole lot of time, either, just thought ) If you join, join the Dark Legions-Best clan ever. Let me know, and I'll put in a good word for you. :) When you are learning, you are growing. If you stop learning, you stop growing. If you stop growing, you die. Train hard, eat fried chicken, and take a one-a-day. (And cook that broccoli 'til it's yella and pour cheese all over it)
The_Sith
I've posted a couple times to people asking this same question. You can read my responses here: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=286 ... ft#2868636 http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?p=175 ... ft#1751167 I think WoW is a very fun and exciting game. It's replay value is great (although most don't "reroll" for a long time, if at all). You can have more than one account but you'd be paying for two accounts. You can play WoW anywhere WoW is installed. Good luck with your decision.

Cost: $15/month. On that account, you can have 10 characters, per server, no extra charge. Say there are 100 server choices (there are more), you could have 1,000 characters and still only pay $15/month. Only one character per account can be logged in at one time, however. So you and your brother can't play at the same time on the same account. Not even on different servers. Hope that helped? It is a really, really fun game, but it is more complicated that RS and if you don't play for several hours per day, you really don't have a chance at the "great" gear. A 5-man instance at level 60 can take an hour to 3 hours (if your group stinks it's longer of course, so 3 is possible :P) and a 40-man raid takes anywhere from 1 to 4 hours. My guild clears Molten Core and Blackwing Lair in 4 hours each, but we've been at it for a year, so we know it. Fairly sure it caps at 50 characters. -This message was deviously brought to you by:
