Leesters
Flame away if you already know this stuff. Thank me profusely if you don't. Training levels - As we all know, this is one expensive skill to level. This one is kind of obvious, but if you didn't know it, its going to save you a ton: Oaks xp per plank is 60. Cost to plank is 250 Teaks xp per plank is 90. Cost to plank is 500 Mahogony xp each is 140. Cost to plank is 1500. Do your math, and all your level training should be done with oak. And if you have the patience of a saint, mine clay for free and get 10 xp each. No thanks. lol. Using the butler - When using the cook or butler(s) to do your planks, you do not have to pay him his fee every 7 trips. When he asks for money, just click on him again, and he'll still do your running. You only need to pay him if you want him to serve your dinner, greet guests, or serve drinks. Take your noted logs, have him unnote them, and then have him run again and get them planked. You never have to leave your house if as long as your logs last. 1000 noted logs, and a whole bunch of money can make your levels very fast. Building tables over and over is my favorite. Uses lots of planks per click. If you mess up and give him logs to unnote before he gives you the planks he made, they'll show up in your bank. Get your own wood - Prices are highway robbery on the market. Oaks being sold for 1k, Teaks at 3k, its insane. Oaks are easily cut just south of Castlewars. There are a few trees there, and its a short run back to the bank. To cut costs, you can even sell some and use the rest. Although you won't be training on it, Teaks and Mahogany are used to make your cool stuff. You don't need trading sticks to cut these trees. Both trees are available at Ape Atoll island. Take the boat and go west for teaks, and even more west for mahogany. Or tele there, and jump over the bridge on the way to the agility course and keep on going south west. If you have any other tips, you know what to do. :) And, please, everyone do their part, and make a suggestion to Jagex that there needs to be player planking. I suggest the entire tip.it family flood Jagex with feedback saying we need to add the ability to plank your own wood at level 80. The money drain needs to stop somewhere. lol. Level 80 is reasonable level. A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! The_Avatar
a bit small but a good start expand on this and it would be great. also go a little bit more in depth on using butlers and the cook to get your planks. thatkid
Most people knew this but still its great for those who dont :P About the plank thing. Planks are already killing me, how about having plank making at say 50, but have it really slow, maybe only one or two at a time. (would have to click each one and it would take alittle longer like making cannon balls does) Then as your level gets higher, you can make more planks at once and faster. (maybe say 5 per click at lvl 60, with the same speed as turning gold bar into an ammy) Few ideas :D

bigmoneyak
Cutting oak is annoying since most are being used by others and the tree willbe cut down in 5 seconds flat. Luckily I have my own personal oak that I plated long ago in faladore. So I guess my tip is plant a acorn in fally and cut oak there. The nests are great, so far in 6k oaks i got 1 magic, 1 yew, 2 blue eggs, and numerous other seeds. About 30 nests so far. I guess oak are best for nest, and now we have a reason to cut them. I level off of oak larders in constuction mode. Very decent exp. Good Luck The Slayers Guild a Slayer Clan led by Axe Man Jack Proud to have written the most plagiarized Slayer guide on the planet. Laikrob
Cut 1700 oaks = 2 nests! I know i shouldn't post this, but there is an oak tree just east of Draynor bank. Tip: Public to Friends. You're accusing me of bigotry, how ironic. It's a nice attempt at argument, but your responses are facile and asinine, if not diatribe. Who's arrogant now? It's a very handy tip that's saved me a bomb. Good little tips guide, oaks seem to be the way to go. I agree that there needs to be some way of making our own planks, probably at a lower level than 80, i'd say 60. Or a quest. yurpsie
A tip to low levels, a good way to start: Someone told me that so save cost, just build a garden and keep on building and removing the pond with clay. [needs 10 construction] Then, go out and mine some clay in the mines and make em into soft clay in the well behind the portal. So, I made a routine for myself to use: 1. Bring a hammer, saw, 5 buckets and rune pickaxe. 2. Go to rimmington mines and mine 20 clay 3. Go to the well and use the buckets on the well. They will auto fill all 4. put a bucket of water at the right hand bottom corner and click on it and on the clay next to it. Do this 4 times. 5. Click an empty bucket at the top on the well and repeat. 6. Go build the pond Each trip takes like 3 minutes and will provides 200 xp. Credits to the one that gave me the idea and the one that invented the power flecthing method which I use for this one.
frogact
omg, thanks for the butler tip, worth a ton of gold, that one is. I've been doing this with larders. but I was using cw rings instead of notes. Didnt realize he would unnote. Nice tips. And, please, everyone do their part, and make a suggestion to Jagex that there needs to be player planking. Good Luck yup oak larders are the best because it takes 8 per item, the table only takes 6, so my suggestion: if using the normal butler, use carved tables, if using the demon butler, use larders cause it divides nice and evenly, so it's good and if you don't pay your butler he doesn't really move around that much so nice smooth xp. -= weasel =- rsname: moosewalker ~ top 10000 player :Dfull qp - always willing to chat add me... If they don't fix it on monday/tuesday, it's not a bug. It's a feature. My advice, level as much as you can afford this weekend. However, if they really expected us to pay him every 3 minutes of work, I think that is terribly unfair and expensive. 10 k every 8 hours would be fair. Can you make flatpack larders? Or do you guys train in build mode? You can only make the larders in build mode, only downside to it, but then again if im leveling i dont want ppl bugging me. Socc
Heres a tip for ya, cut your own teaks. get 30440 trading sticks and get to the Hardwood place. That will get you 100 goes in the place and sneding them to bank so 27 logs per trip x 100 trips = 2,700 logs of your choice After you cut your invent of 27 logs go west and find ronista, ask him what he does and send them to the bank using parcel service. =p hope this helps people Socc | 99 Magic | 95/99 Range | 99 Defence | 99 Hitpoints | 96/99 Summoning |Join SODB for some monster Slayin! |

mark_kim
A bug is a bug, it doesn't matter how long it takes for them to fix it. If they didn't fix the item duping problem within a few days of its finding, would you consider it as a feature? It has been confirmed that this is bug abuse, you are meant to pay for plank cutting in all circumstances. I would advise you to take the 'fee-dodging' part out of the 'tips'. Many people may just read that as something you're allowed to do =/
