How you said not to rate it on quality? The quality in that one is actually good. But I think the fonts are cheesy and the backgrounds don't seem paticularily interesting. You should post your stuff in the gallery, thats how I got better, from c/c. But if you can't take criticism.

 

Also, go into your layers dialog, then set the text layer to the mode 'Overlay' duplicate if neccesary, then there you have it, easy text blending. Note: Render blending is different. Download some brushes at

 

http://www.deviantart.com they're fairly simple to use and give nice effects. Good luck with future designs.
