June 12, 200620 yr Made some stamps for a college project (uk college, im 17).. Our task was to choose a charity and illustrate a message onto 4 stamps priced at 58p, 46p, 35p and 27p.. I chose the rapture trust (all endangered birds of prey) as it looked much more challanging than the obvious, cancer research, children in-need etc. :D As I mentioned it was only a small project to finish this year of college, so they weren't expecting too much, but I thought mine came out quite well. :oops: .. My message is basically illustrating birds as beautiful creatures, ellegant and poised.. Which lead me on to trying different media of art, styles.. I wouldn't say my work is masterpiece quality but the idea is to show birds as works of art.. Enjoy :) I prefer the last one to the rest, and im not so keen on the 3rd.. comments?
June 12, 200620 yr The first three birds are pretty cool, loving the eyes of the blue one. Don't really like the red one, there's a white outline on it's head, or it seems that way.

June 12, 200620 yr I like the 2nd and 4th ones. The 1st and 3rd look kind of cartoony to me, still way better work than I could do though. :?

June 14, 200620 yr cant remember the guy who started those stamp deals but i remember it was a big culteral change in the 70's/60's because of it Sig Inspired by Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville.
