June 12, 200620 yr I agree that the USA's meausuring system is really poorly organized. But if you have grown up knowing that 60 seconds is 1 minute, it really shouldn't be that hard to realize. For a microwave which is used primarily for minutes times wouldn't it make more sense for minutes to be used as the primary measurement not the seconds. Your true character is what you are like when you believe there are no repercussions.

June 12, 200620 yr Wasn't it the Babolonians (sp) who invented our current method of mesuring time? I think it was because they had a 60 digit numerical system (most people use 10).

June 12, 200620 yr Every night, when I think about typing in 100 and my microwave only going for one minute, I cry myself to sleep. :( True story. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.

June 13, 200620 yr Do you get 99 seconds when you enter 99 on a microwave or 59? 61 is 39 less than 100 and if 100 = 60 should you get 21 seconds? I need to try all of these combonations soon, THE WORLD NEEDS TO KNOW.
