Meh, I wanted to know opinions because personally.. I LOVE them =D

The only song I really like by them is "Bring My To Life", probably because it has a decent beat. I usually like songs that are fast, not slow like most of theirs that I've heard. And yeah, she does have a whiney voice lol

 

 

 

oh and...lol, she has a fast song called "Everybody's Fool" and "Going Under" and many more. Just try these out and see if you like? Warning: To you the "Everybody's Fool" one may be er... a bit whiny ?

i just checked, and no, the Evanescence tourniquet isn't the same as marylin manson's - shame, i think that they could make it sound really good

ahh they did do a song of KoRn's which is called "Thoughtless", Personally I think it sound really awesome with her playing the piano to it, but it is only available in "Live" version when you go on the download things, to hear a non-live thingy, you have to buy their album/dvd "Anywhere but home".

 

 

 

Plus, I think it sounds good when Bands like "Reconstruct" other people's songs, with permission first of course :D

IMO the only band worse than Evanesence is Good Charlotte... That's just me though. I haven't really heard those other bands though. :?

0o0o0o0 double post? yeah Evanescence are sorta okay, you'd really love them if you were a real goth type person I guess............

Ugh, people who think you have to look or act a certain way to like a genre of music need to get a nice slap in the face. I like Evanescence, i'm not a big fan, but they have a few decent songs. I'm not a goth, and most people who like them aren't goth. I'm guessing i'd have to dress nice and act fruity to like boy bands? I'd have to dress like a gangster and talk like one to like rap? No, it doesn't matter what you do or how you dress. It's just all in your taste. Stop classifying people and just realize that we are really all the same.

I'm not saying that you'd have to be a goth to like Evanescence, I said that you'd have to be a "goth type person" to really love them. Plus, it's not me who invented labels like goths, chavs, moshers etc. And because labels are really popular, and with me just not saying them would not help decrease the use of them. But I bet you anything GoingUnder thinks he/she is a goth?

I just recently got into lacuna coil and I really like their single, our truth. As for those other two I'll have to check out them out but like its been said before, Evanescence is just too whiny for me.

I just didn't find evenesance to be that great at all, they tried to apeal to the mainstream too much and just ended up... meh.

 

 

 

Nightwish and the other bands are great though :D.

That song is so bad. They play it on the rock station here and it isn't even close to rock. It is times like this is when someone thinks wtf?

I think Evanescence is ok. The only song i really like is "bring me to life" and another one called "My Immortal" love that song...never heard of nightwish :oops: , ima look them up now. well i looked them up and the song "nemo" is weird and the song "i wish i had an angel" just plan scares me lol. the guy that sings in it and plays the guitar, his eyes and beard is freaky.

I never knew Evanescence even existed til I heard two of their songs played on the radio; 'Bring me to life' and 'My immortal' (both were very good IMO). Then my friend lent me a copy of their first CD (I think it was their first...) and found that none of the other songs appealed to me. :-k

 

 

 

But they're alright to listen to. I love Amy Lee's voice by the way (...abit loud though) :)

their songs have meanings they always have and always will do, amy lee is a preety good singer seeing as that there arent many matal bands with a girls voice liek amy's. i erally liked you by evanescence. it was preety good :D
