It seems like Me and about 10 other people like Evanescene around here. If you like Evanescence (or Nightwish or Within Temptation or Lacuna Coil) then post here so I know there's some Evanescence lovers out there :D and if you like their most known song (Bring Me To Life -known as "Wake Me Up Inside"-) then post again, but if you don't like them and think they are rubbish then still post here :D like to know everyone's opinions

They're poor. Really poor. Its seems they've disappeared off the face of the Earth, which is good.

I only ever really like "Bring me to life". To be honest I never listened to mroe than three of their songs so my view on them may not be totally fair but to me, they didn't seem special.

I haven't really gotten a chance to hear most of their songs, but from the ones I've heard, they seem ok I guess. Nightwish is great though :D. I wonder who their new replacement for Tarja Turenen is.

Too bad I haven't checked the newest songs...

Sorry, can't bring up much enthousiasm for them. I'll admit that some songs on their first album like Imaginary, Hello and My Last Breath are halfway decent, but they're way too fabricated to appeal to 13 year old Hot Topic shoppers...

My lady collegue played that FALLEN album a few days ago. It's nothing really bad nor really good. Easy to ignore. She liked it a lot though.

Too me, they're like the Kaiser Chiefs. Not musically, but in the fact they're are harmless fun, neither good nor bad.

Yeah Nightwish are awesome, love Tarja Turunen. I can understand why some people don't like Evanescence (Meh), it's like me hating ... McFly or some other band. Just wanted voiced opinions. :D

i liked their one song. havent heard anything else, but its not the style i normally listen too. i did like that one though...

Evanescene is really good actually - great band. Hope they come out with a new album.

They have an album out on October 3rd, called "The Open Door" :D

I still dont have a formed opinion, I need some suggestions for good music of them. I only have like 4-5 :oops: I'd really like to know them better.

lol, komodo - my favourite song of theirs is "Farther Away" and "Whisper" but their other songs which are most deep are "Going Under, Everybody's Fool, Bring Me To Life, Tourniquet, My Last Breathe, Imaginery, Haunted" and that's just from their album "Fallen", but if you want some of their er.. more "Softer" songs, check out "My Immortal, Breathe No More, Hello, (Love this one) Missing."

I always thought Evanescence were a bit "one hit wonder" and certainly very poor in comparison to the other bands similar they just got lucky and into the mainstream which is why they are popular particularly with young teen girls.

Sheepdean, I don't know if that is true but the Evanescence Tourniquet lyrics go like, "I tried to kill the pain, But only brought more (so much more), I lay dying, And I'm pouring crimson regret and betrayal, I'm dying, praying, bleeding and screaming..." and I don't know how the Marilyn Manson ones go like ...

The only song I really like by them is "Bring My To Life", probably because it has a decent beat. I usually like songs that are fast, not slow like most of theirs that I've heard. And yeah, she does have a whiney voice lol
