June 28, 200620 yr Oh my god. Someone else actually plays this! I had Descent on one of my uber-old Acer computers. God, that game was pure ownage. I really wouldn't call it an era. It was more of a definitive time period during which dinstinctive characteristics were expressed in similar ways.

I tried to play multiplayer for Descent but i suck lol. Course i was facing a bunch of old guys who sit around and play Descent all day but meh... axeraider70.deviantART.com
June 29, 200620 yr Cool! someone else actually played that game! I played it straight from Descent 1 to 3 and the Freespaces (although they really played nothing like Descent ) I even published a few levels for Descent 2 :-) Descent 1 used to run great on the old 386's :-) My brother was unbeatable multiplayer, though. I would just spawn, run around, drop a black shark missile, and get flashed and end up in my own gravity well. You remember the sound that used to come up when the missiles locked on? I hated that sound :wall: The final boss in Descent 3 was pure pwnage, too :mrgreen: When you are learning, you are growing. If you stop learning, you stop growing. If you stop growing, you die. Train hard, eat fried chicken, and take a one-a-day. (And cook that broccoli 'til it's yella and pour cheese all over it)

June 30, 200620 yr I got it as a present ages ago on my old computer, but I remember my computer being too laggy to really handle it. It seemed like it woulda been fun to play though. :P
