Staking ruined?

You're crying to me how "xing in boxing isnt possible" and stuff and then tell me to go stake? WELL HOW COME I'VE LOST OVER 30M IN CLEAR STAKES IN THE LAST FEW DAYS BECAISE OF PPL WHO X OUT IN A BOX STAKE. THERE IS SOME WAY TO X OUT IN A BOX STAKE AND YOUR CHARACTER WILL DISAPPEAR QUITE FAST. This has also ONCE happened to me on a noarmour only whips stake... which i really dont get. True that we weren't hitting that good but yea, we did some serious damage. And you guys whining how i dont win? I do noarmour melee only with no specs... and boxing. Mostly. with a character over 100combat with 1 prayer. I do win quite nice wins sometimes... but so many ppl x out or rule switch (gotta love lag, just dont see it sometimes)

 

But i really do think jagex should fix atleast the xing bug in the duel arena... thats what bugs me most.

Ok you have some valid points about problems with deuling and its lack of variety, but other than the boxing and prayer comments the rest really is just a comment on the fact that no matter what Jagex or players do there will always be one strategy that is superior to another with a given set of rules.

 

 

 

Also i could have sworn they had fixed the problem with sara brews in no food deuls.

 

 

 

The dcing in boxing is definatly a real problem that shouldn't take a ton of coding to change.

 

Also the option to limit prayers to the non-protect ones is also a feasiable option.

just use smite when ppl using prayer :) that will kill them quite fast.

This pretty much sounds to me like a bunch of ignorant players complaining about things they have minimal knowledge of. It's really quite simple; adapt and conquer or don't adapt and lose all of your money to me 8-) . also, FYI, rarely do people below 100 combat do anything but weapons only with the main variation being specials on/off. And as for the 118 that loses to 100's... part of that is that i know 108's with better stats than you do and also your style, first hit, and many other factors play roles in winning or in your case losing. The great stakers spend more than a few minutes or a few stakes at the arena and learn the odds and how to give yourself the best chance for success.

you should always be prepared. I mean, if you are going to duel, amke sure you agree on the rules, not just to thier rules. click no pots, no food, and no prayer EVERY TIME. you can also click on the no helmets and no rings to keep it safe. i always do that. and if you are afraid of magic and ranged attack, click those off too, or come prepared, you cant just complain about not clicking on the buttons, then you getting beat.

It's exactly like pking, but in a more controlled environment. If I go pking with sharks and the other guy has lobs, that's an advantage to me. If I go out with my best stuff, while the other guy holds back because he is afraid of losing items, then that's another advantage to me. Come prepared or you're setting yourself up for disappointment.

I agree with the fact that people with a lower combat can ahve better stats then me, especiallywith lilttle to no prayer, but Im not a staker and Iwantmy combat high so that doesnt matter to me.

 

But to the point, these 100s that i duel...its NOT a stake, its fun dueling on like work 98 for example. The people I duel are not stakers, they ahve average stats like me. (trust me if i loose to someone 15combat lvls lower I look them up :shock: )

 

its just fun fights to see how we do against eachother, whoever hapensto be in the areana if i stop by, these are not professional stakers who know every bug and thing to manipulate to win.

beating ancients with normal mage is soo rediculously (sp?) easy

 

i've seen someone with 84 mage and zammy flames beat a 92 mage blood barrager...3 hits and the 92 mage couldnt barrage at all....

 

 

 

and no one stakes prayer on and if they do (Veracs) :pray:

 

 

 

hmm lets see 90 range at 70 combat 1 def no sheild vs 80 range 50 def at 70 ish combat one using bow and other using crysta/granite/obby and ring's knive's w/e chances are 90 ranger will win even though sometimes knives hit very hard and often so its kinda shakey....

 

 

 

never had anyone x out during a box stake (not saying it cant happen but its never happened to me)

 

 

 

dueling isnt ruined in rs2 its just different there were problems with rsc staking as well mostly autoer's sometimes bug's...if you dont like they way something is change it yourself....get defense on the ranger or get 43 prayer and veracs....you can always carry a few nats and some extra fires in your invent while mage staking and make the person you are staking alch something to make sure they are on reg mage and not ancients...there are simple things you can do to make the duel arena better for you...

I agree with almost everyone else, Duling is about one guy against another. Not everyone is developed as a duling/pking pure. If your prayer isnt high enough to use protection prayers, turn prayer off.

 

 

 

The only thing I recomend that they change is the login during a dule.

What I read was; Omg guys if I dont want to have 43 prayer nobody else should be able to take advantage of their prayer beyond my lvl! Also if they use something I can't afford it shouldnt be allowed. Oh btw, If they win there must be a flaw. Please put an option for me to click where I auto win! Thanks!

if you don't want prayer, then turn prayer off

 

if you don't want potting, then turn pots off

Pots - I haven't really tried this that much but what i've understood, sara brew counts as a pot so in a no food duel with pots on... ppl have sara brews, KEWL!

Yeah I agree with the x logging. Its pathetic that people can do that when their losing, and Jagex should definitely try and fix this problem. :wink:

I have to gieF you a cookie for showing how [developmentally delayed]ed you are? can't even read simple text right? What if ppl want to have a duel with HIGH HITS? meaning they'd like to have prayers on but no, all hail 50% damage!

 

also, where im saying "if they win there must be a flaw" ? I have no problem with dying to someone who fights me fair, thats why i mostly want to do no armour, no pots, no spec, no food, no moving, no range, no mage, ONLY MELEE AND WHIPS. That's like the only fair staking left. Ofcourse range vs range is fair too n that stuff but i dont happen to have ranged. Or maybe you just forget this topic never exists, go back and x'log from few stakes and be happy with the 300k you just saved? thank you.
