um anyody here listen to em?

I've got Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence but I only rate it average. They're all talented as hell but it's not my cup of tea. The Glass Prison is amazing though.

Dream theater is amazing :).

 

 

 

I have their Octavarium CD and then some other random songs of theirs, they have some great works. (and their epics are amazing. Octavarium and Change of seasons).

i love DT...

 

i own all of the jordan rudess era cd's, and Falling Into Infinity.

Only recently got into them. Heard some of their songs a long long time ago but it wasnt until last month that i bought Images and Words, for Fathers day, as my first album of theirs.

I've got all their albums. They're a pretty good band but after listening to them for quite a while, their music seems to lack a great deal of creativity. The musicianship is there, the technique is there, but all they seem to be able to do is play very technical uninspired songs.

 

 

 

Doesn't mean that you can't enjoy listening to them, on the contrary, their music is very very cool. But it still lacks a great deal of creativity.

like I said, they're well written, but they lack any creativity, it's just modal drivel to be honest

yea its kinda annoying how they dont muck 1 thing up onstage but meh

Dream theatre are my favourite band. Octavarium and A Change of Seasons are my my two favourite songs as well. Their best songs (and pieces of music) are:

It was on these forums that I actually discovered Dream Theatre in a vid on how to kill Dust Devils. Thanks whoever posted that vid!
