Power-ranging Question F2P

May I inquire what arrow type you're using, and where you decide to go to work? 110k dropped arrows sounds rather alluring... Pm me.

Trick with power-ranging is you don't want something with high competition, but you want something that can handle your firepower for a fair bit of time. I would probably go with the hobgoblins at crafters as suggested, as you could camp out in the cow pen safely, but you could also try white knights on some of the upper levels with less competition but still plenty of cover.

I would like to know a good place to powerrange as f2p.

i recently bought 110k arrows and dont want to pick up

thanks!

I always liked training on the Lesser Demons on top of Crandor Island.

There are safe spots in the east and north of their area.

If you do it right then you won't need any food at all.

If you cast a Curse on the Lesser's then you can make them walk

over to stand near your safe spot.

Then you can start shooting them with arrows.

After they die, about 75% of your arrows and all of the

loot from the kill will be in a single pile right in front of you,

so you may as well pick up your arrows.

That will give you about 4x the number of shots if you do.

This way you don't have to run all over their area trying to gather arrows.

Just cast that Curse first. It doesn't even have to "land" to work.

It just has to get them mad enough to go over to your favorite safe kill spot.

Hope this helps.

How about a low level range pure? Someone who has gotten to 12 on chickens but is sick of looking at them. Mainly because there is a lot of compotition for them because of feathers. Remember this is a f2p range pure with a lot of bronze arrows but unlike the original poster of this thread, I need to pick mine back up if I can. LOL

All you really need is to shoot from a safe spot.

For a level 12, you could try the back yard of the monastery.

You can shoot from behind the fence at the monks and then run out and gather your arrows when he's dead.

As a bonus, all of the monks will heal you for free if you talk to them.

You could also try the Al-Kharid palace guards.

Same deal, shoot from behind the fence.

Many monsters will never walk outside of a certain region.

So, if you shoot from just outside that region, it's completely safe.

(The Mossies on Crandor are like that)

So you may be able to do city guards that way.

You just have to find the right spot to shoot from.

In general just shoot from behind walls, fences, across water, etc

or from just outside their wander region.

Hope this helps.

That means thanks.. That is good advice. I never thought about that out of roam range thing, even though I noticed things chase me up to a point and then just stand there. Prison Guards west of Lumbridge.

May I suggest the fortress guards?

Level 20 with 20 hit points! Last a while.

Stand on the top farthest edge of Ice Mountain and range them. No one is ever around so you do not have to wait for respawns. I am there currently world 55 and it is very good exp some people get 1.5k for 2 and a half minutes.

if you are training a pure and dont want to pick up arrows, dont worry about monster drops or high levels. remember, you get xp for each damage point you inflict, so pick something with LOW defense. Low level monsters are fine until your max hit is higher than their total xp. I also found a great guide for pure training: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=460 ... sc&start=0

this guide has good tips for non-pure training also

West of Fishing Guild, use the mossy rocks to your defence. Theirs not a lot of people their on a less busy world, plus your using range, you can shoot fast, so you should snag one before anybody else. Moss giants do seem to have low defence, im level 51 and can kill them quick.

  • 2 weeks later...

if youre power ranging, hobgoblins in the back of the crafting guild is probably the best option, as well as black knights in the fortress near monastery. after that you have your ghosts and zomblies in varrock sewers from across the drain water. all these spot provide you with lots of targets that respawn quickly, safety of the monsters cant hit you, low level mosters that will take high damage because they have decent hp, and very low competition most of the time
