This whole thread gives me some kind of bitter feelings...Ok i think it has been well explained how his works are far from our "professional work" taste, i myself gave my opinions in the first pages...but now we have 6 pages of bashing and strong defences...Pointed out that we don't consider that work professional, we should still remember this guy is making those for free so, just let him work for those who asked for one. This is still to be considered a free shop thread and not a debate on his skills...

Cruiser: The water is nice, but the lighting could really use some work. You should lower the gamma of the background, so the sun stands out a bit more. Far too bright.

Anyway you sound like you know what you're talking about, but you're not really good in implementing them. You'll get better at digital art as time goes on.

Work on some smaller signature type graphics. Better fonts effects could be used

If that guy likes the sig u made him sooo much, why isn't he used it? uh? UH??? :P

I've tried to stick up for you a little but this statement doesn't help you. Professional quality might not be as fancy, but all of it's aspects are usually perfect. Color choice is always exact and the image itself is smooth and clean. Your images seems just like filters from photoshop. Professionals can achieve their goals without using filters in photoshop.

I do not use filters in photoshop. And if anyone knows about coloring, about lighting, it's me. I've programmed many image editors and written many guides on contrast, resolution, dithering, etc.

Saying "Do the best sig you can possibly do" is a bigger request that it may sound. I might do it if I find the time. If I do, it will probably be for a project I'm making (I do a lot of programming), because I don't want to put so much effoft in something with no productivity.

Well I was sure that you were up for the challenge. But I guess I was mistaken.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The productivity from this bit of artistic exercise would to once and for all prove that you are the professional that you say you are, hence having people recognize that you are as talented as you claim you are. After that, you could actually sell sigs.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Best you can do doesn't mean make an experiment with a new program. I meant that you should use readily available tools (eg. Photoshop, C4D... ones that you have).
