Hey everyone, I was just on my way to the barrows today (after getting wisdom teeth pulled this morning so I can play for a while hehe), and I thought to myself, "Is this the best setup possible?" I made this thread for you tipiters to post your favorite barrows slaying setup, and maybe give me a few pointers on mine?

 

Well, here is mine, I hope you enjoy:

 

 

 

 

The 2:1 Law/blood ratio is to teleport back to Canifis, as I am using Ancient Magicks. The spell I use is Ice Rush, hits pretty hard and not TOO expensive. :mrgreen:

 

The only things I think I can improve on is the cape, by getting fire cape, and Mage's Book if it lowers in price.

 

Don't ask about the 13 Rune Arrows, I think it's my good luck charm.

I prefer to get in Ahrim's face with my big, long, whip, hehe. :P

 

Plus, I use super attack to melee kharil, and i usually have a lot of the boost leftover for Ahrim.

whats the point with ahrims hood if you use prayer pots? tell me? i use about same armour WITHOUT prayer pots jsut food

and chen especially you why prayer pots? i kinda do with half ur defense and owning all of the brothers all i use is food

My only problem with your set up is ancients...

 

 

 

Id say get slayers dart, and house tablets, at your house have an alter and a portal room with the canfis teleport in there (gonna take 200 laws and 100 bloods to direct it, but its worth it)

 

 

 

I did this for my 800-1000 chests and it went quite fast :)

 

Is the guthans just to heal in the tunnels and get easy kill count? Other than that, I see no point in taking Guthans if you're praying against the brothers.

Guthans is to heal in the tunnels for what the random monsters hit you and the brother before you actually get your prayer up. The reason i hate this method (well me doing it at least) is because these guys die alot, ive gotten a few spears from them, which i gave back of course :)

i use slayer dart along with pray pots and mystic robes... this is the poor man's way (i have less then 1m total) but i got guthan helm on last run so i guess it works ok =)

 

 

 

PS: what is the best kill count to have? i use somewhere between 10 and 20 each time and have gotten nothin... sides helm, but what should i get to?

Higher kill count helps to gain more runes, which in turn compensates for the runes you used in killing the brothers (less economic damage to your bank :P ). I'm pretty sure that Kill Count doesn't affect items, but I go for anywhere between 10-50 when I am browsing the web or forums, etc.

I never die, because i pray on all brothers, and enter the tunnel in full hp... the worst that ever happens is that ahrim/karil or somebody get in two 20s before i start praying, other then that no problems at all
