You might know yourself from tutorials, but (for e.g. the ship on the background) you shouldn't use a plain black. Lighten it up slightly.

Right right. A few things...

 

 

 

When was the last time you saw a perfectly flat horizon? And black clouds? Try and give the stars a bit of aa, and maybe a little less perfect looking, like my avatar. The guy on the left, his shoes need shading. Also the axe, its like, perfectly inline with the view, so it looks a little strange, try and give it some angle, and look at some reference pics of axes, because the blades look like triangles.

well its pretty plain .

 

try moving the people that they don't face us directly

 

but face eachother as they are fighting eachother xD.

 

but some more thing in the background .

 

also the danger singn is practicly on the horizon what would it make huge unless the pixel is being viewed from a low angle, but looking at the caracters this isn't the case so u might wonna lower that danger singn a bit

I didn't design the characters facing the viewer, it was elected by popular demand ;)
