Drealfreak
I think people can listen to whatever they want tho i always think there is a distinct difference between a band being good and a band being fun to listen or nice to listen. That is your opinion, not everyone shares it. Just because you view one band as good and another as as just being a fun listen, dosent mean others cant view other bands the same way. That is a close minded statment... i̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâôm talking from a technical point of view, not close minded at all. by good i mean technicly hard to play or brilliantly thought out, please don̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâôt take me wrong. From a technical point of view, classical music is generally acknowledged to be the "best" - Bach is generally acknowledged as the genius who knew his music, knew how to expand and manipulate themes excellently, knew how to play on the emotions of the listener. That doesn't mean it's what I listen to, and clearly not what you listen to. Don't assume your taste is absolutely the best out there. In the end, people like what they enjoy, but they enjoy based on different reasons - some love touching lyrics, some love great guitar riffs, some just want to be able to dance to it. And there are different "bests" depending on what you're looking for. So really... don't be so closeminded. Like what you like. I agree with drealy :D Hi mad how r u :D (sorry for "spamming")
issy2
i'm really dedicated to the hardcore music scene. thats why i always wear band shirts. and no i'm not talking about all those lame kids who were jimmy hendrix and greenday shirts lmao i'm different... Different, you say? Well, you are indeed a conformist. What's wrong with a, Jimmy Hendrix, and b, Greenday? Greenday are, nevertheless old, produce what I would class as 'good music,' You're simply going with time. Which I find very annoying...but hey, don't wanna flame this topic O:) O:)

It IS true to say that 'bad' music, let's say, poor-quality recording and a squeaky violin noise, may be enjoyable to listen to. If anyone here is being closeminded, it's you, Lionheart. Yes, but what defines music as "good" is mostly subjective. Where do you draw the line between good and all else? Does the word "good" mean it has a good beat, or genius themes and canons, or moving lyrics, or difficult guitar solos, or makes you want to dance? These are all valid qualifications someone might have for defining "good" music. There is no objectively "good' music because good is a definitively subjective word. Everybody hug and spread the love :D

Quer Skull is referring to music as 'good' because it makes him feel like the music does, or he particularly enjoys it. Lionheart is referring to it as, say, top quality recording and a pretty, in-tune voice.

issy2
But then again everything really depends on your fashion sense and how much you want to fit in... Sorry. Just trying to fit in a bump or two.
heart_of_ink
I don't really care about how unique I dress. I wear whatever I first take out of my drawers, and I don't spend hours worrying what other people think of me. It gives me more time to focus on other stuff. :) There's no sig here. Move it along...
