Just thought i'd post in here to say hello and introduce myself - i've taken a long break from RuneScape (things sure have changed), but I've recently started playing again and historically for me, RuneScape and Tip.It have always gone hand in hand. I'm looking forward to getting back in to RuneScape and in to the community that I will always have fond memories of (Tip.It's drop parties seem to be forever glued in my memory!). Anyway, hello everyone! I'm Nathan! Only recently started playing RuneScape again, and it's obvious a lot of things have changed, but nevertheless, i've decided to train up magic from 70 to 80. I'm guessing high alchemy would be my best bet to do this with my distinct lack of gp, but i have a few questions. First of all, i'm going to mine my own pure essence, which i can do easily enough. However, when it comes to crafting natures, is the abyss still the best way to do this? I'd load up my inventory and pouches with essence at edgeville, run to abyss, craft, and then glory tele back to edgeville again. Is this still the most effective way? Secondly, what items should i buy to alch? I'd like to either break even, or make a small profit; as long as i'm not making a loss, i'm not too bothered. And lastly, can anyone give me a time frame as to how long this will take if i play around 3-4 hours a day? Thanks very much.

Look down a few threads, and go read ice_rings's topic on how Runescape is the biggest regret of his life. ... Now, my experience has led me to have a completely different opinion on the matter. Playing Runescape was the best time of my life. I'm a seventeen year old boy who spent around half of his teenage life playing Runescape. Over that time, I've managed to build up a decent level character with a fair amount of quest points, and spend a decent amount of time knocking around with various clans. I quit RuneScape about a year ago, and i don't regret it, but looking back, RuneScape really has had a massively positive influence on my life. There is a massive difference between spending time online, and spending time in real life, with real people. I love a good party, or wandering around town at 3am in the morning with no idea where I'm going. It's great. It really is. But i also loved a good drop party, and i loved wandering around the wilderness in the middle of a clan war trying to return, to fight. Both give a different thrill, and both are different ways of enjoying yourself, and one is no better or worse than the other. I'm glad that i've had the opportunity to experience both ways, and when I hear of friends of mine spending their weekends raiding on World of Warcraft, or having hardcore training sessions on Runescape; i just smile, because i know they're enjoying themselves just as much as I am. Lately, i've taken time to log back onto RuneScape, just to check up on how old friends are doing. Because I haven't forgot those online friends i made many moons ago. The chances of meeting them in real life are slim, sure, but I think it's fantastic just to have someone to talk to about a subject you both really enjoy. And if any issues crop in your real life, you have the added bonus of confiding in people that you know you're never going to meet. When it comes to my birthday, people ask if i share a birthday with anyone, and i immediately say "Yeah, a guy i used to talk to online has the same birthday as me". It's just nice. (: What does it matter if you can't write anything on your job application forms, or college transcripts, because you were beating down some virtual monsters? You had a damn good time doing so. That's what life is all about, just living it as it comes. In conclusion, it's not any of my business what you do with your time. If you want to spend your weekend playing an online game, that's fine. As long as you have a good time doing it. (: x

I've been away from RuneScape for about a year. At the moment, my combat is Level 98, with these stats: I'm in the middle of my summer holidays at the moment, and I'd like to get 110+ combat by September. I'm F2P now, but i'll probably indulge myself in a little pay-to-play action before long. (: But yes, 110 combat. Any advice as to how i should go about getting it? Training places? You get a vessel quite soon during the quest. Apperently i can't use it untill i finish the quest so eh ;< At least it's a challenge for you Zot. :).

Does this count as a quest for your quest cape? Do you need to finish all the tasks to keep wearing it?

I really don't understand how Rowling is going to write this though. If Voldemort dies, it seem obvious that it will be Harry who kills him. But the only curse Harry knows that can kill is "Sectumsempra"? And Voldemort isn't stupid, he would own Harry in a duel any day. Also, they have the same wands, so they can't duel each other. .... Anyway, since i'm actually not very skilled when it comes to this department i'm asking for your help. :oops: Whenever i click onto My Computer, Recycle Bin, My Documents etc, it doesn't load, and the message "Dr Watsons Post Mortem Debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close" comes up. I also have to end "DRWTSN32[Caution: Executable File]" in the Task Manager to get my computer to work again. :lol: So, any help would be appreciated please. :3>
