Scimi no longer protects over, they updated shop prices aswell..

Maybe it's easier to check against general shop prices? I guess it's that what the protect is based on: actual worth of an item. the may have made whip more expensive, or top cheaper.

No it regards the scam where they take you into the wildy and drop 4 noted dragon scimi's or mystic tops, then when you pick it up, you loose whip.

That's not quite how it works. The scammer drops three mystic tops which are noted. When you die, it doesn't matter if you have a skull. You'll keep the tops and lose your whip.

People used to drop 4 noted Mystic Tops and then kill you. You keep the tops and drop the whip.

Yes ancient staff no longer protects over aswell...

I tested it with screech, it does indeed, and maybe this is the reason:

I guess in case of same cost it goes alphabetic? :D

I never had any sort of moral problem with that tactic, I certainly wouldn't call it scamming. In my mind, the wild is meant to contain every sort of trick imaginable, and if someone loses a whip, it's because they foolishly fell into a clever trap. And before you suspect me of bias, I absolutely never pk and don't plan on starting.

 

 

 

Also, I've always wondered how it's decided which item you keep when two items are tied for the same price. Does anyone have it figured out?
