People should be able to delete their own posts

Recommended Posts

The author of the post should be able to delete it just in case they make a mistake... Then they get reported... They should be able to fix their mistake before they get in trouble for making that mistake

Reported for..? That's exactly why we do not give users this ability. If they post something such as scamming or a hack or something and get caught by a user, they'll just remove all evidence of that happening and continue using these forums. If you're talking about making a double post and a user reporting you, the staff knows not to take action against such things anyways. If you make a "mistake" when posting a thread, just use the report feature to let the staff know - we'll take care of it.

AFAIK, you can only delete your own posts untill someone posts after you.

It was enabled in Arenascape General for a long time, and there were zero problems.

It was usefull for double posts, but that was about it.

(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.)

Best way to stop "double submit" double posts, is to have a minimum time limit between posts.

There is one, but it still happens. Just a fact of the internet that you have to live with..

Damn internets.
