no, when ur fighting an npc, when you disconnect, you log off once your not fighting it any more, aka when either it or you are dead.

In a duel, when some one loses connection, aka x-logs, the duel is stopped and neither perty wins.

So all this is saying is that duels will now work the same as fighting an npc.

nub -.- when you disconnected (or Xed) against a monster u used to get logged out just as in the duel arena.

And they better keep it that way because what if an imp is hitting me and my internet disconnects ?

I'd be logged in for half an hour until I'd die.

and I wouldnt even be able to log in to take back controls because it would say account is already logged in blablabla.

uh...dude....if you dont move ur mose on rs u log off in 60 secs.....and if u lose connection u log off right then.....right?
I shall take my flock underneath my own wing, and kick them right the [bleep] out of the tree. If they were meant to fly, they won't break their necks on the concrete.
So, what is 1.111... equal to?

10/9.

Please don't continue.

This has already killed me twice. My wireless connection is rather dodgy, and I've lost a lot of equipment. While I can see it's essential to avoid the staking exploit, it massively discriminates against those of use with poor internet connections. This is, really, the sort of thing that would make me quite runescape - if I can no longer guarantee my shoddy connection won't penalise me. I'll be forced to move to a game without any penalties for disconnecting - like (shudder) Guild Wars.

Hi

you stay logged in for 1minute

Sorry, that's simply not true. I was out for at least five, I made a point of timing it. Try it yourself if you don't believe me.

Yeah they didnt fix anything. Just tested it in the wild on another player, on a npc, and dueling. Still the same.

On the npc's thing:

It was like this a long time ago-if you were attacked after d/cing, you were attacked until either you or it died, or something like 5-10 minutes passed.

I can say that you did get logged out, but not immediatly-and that a guy nearly lost his red p hat at the trolls way way back when they were about 10m (I think it was january or feb of '05). Either way, me and another were waiting for him to die for different reasons-I attacked the troll to try to save him, the other guy wanted his p hat. I had little hope of saving him as he was red barred, but then he got auto logged. He later almost died, but ate a lot and turned auto retaliate back on.

If it's been changed from that, it wouldn't surprise me, but I thought that was a good system.

Yesterday while trying to die to this suqah things I had two of them on me and accidently leaned on my USB wireless adaptor (It's at the front of my computer :P) anyway, I came back an hour later and was still alive... for about 10 seconds.

Holy c**p, I lagged out a week or so ago while maging Torag no Prayer, and I was getting fairly wasted at 43hp (hey, he gets lucky) and I lagged out before I ate. Logged back in at 19hp, but I hadn't killed Torag so I had automatically logged out. If this update had occurred before that... ouch.
