July 31, 200619 yr Yes i like the dual arena and i have a dds but personally i think sometimes it spoils the fight. When you dual someone and you want to still have special on and try out a new special for instants the whip special but the person you are fighting will use a dd. This rule will also be good for rangers when they dual in the arena because they can still use special without their oponents using the dd against them which would make it more balanced. anyway your thought please. A friend to all is a friend to none.
July 31, 200619 yr I was thinking of this aswel. E.g If you had dds spec off and pray on. This would allow people to use a d scimm spec and not loose because of the lack of dds specs that they have left :) I pretty much always stake with spec off anyway 8-) whipz0r
July 31, 200619 yr I disagree with this. You have the abilty to: 1. Set combat terms prior to the duel 2. Negotiate with the player prior to the duel If you can't come to an agreement, or if your dueling partner doesn't play as agreed, then don't accept another duel with him or her. Unless you stake, you risk nothing in the dueling arena. Is it fair for me to go into a duel with a rune long against someone with a whip? Or someone who's combat level is significantly higher than mine? No. But I have the option to accept or decline the challenge. If I think the proposed duel is unfair, then I will decline. Simple as that. - Sligo I know that you believe you understand what you think I said, but, I am not sure you realize tht what you heard is not what I meant.
July 31, 200619 yr This rule will also be good for rangers when they dual in the arena because they can still use special without their oponents using the dd against them which would make it more balanced. I'd say the new update makes it more than balanced for rangers
July 31, 200619 yr I think i stated that same thing about hte crossbows somewhere else, and i think that quite a few of the bolts have abilities that could even possibly beat an unsuspecting fighter. Second, people can use what they want to win, and if you can't find a way to beat the dragon dagger then dont fight... July 31, 200619 yr Author I think i stated that same thing about hte crossbows somewhere else, and i think that quite a few of the bolts have abilities that could even possibly beat an unsuspecting fighter. Second, people can use what they want to win, and if you can't find a way to beat the dragon dagger then dont fight... it is not that i cannot find the way to defeat the dragon daggers or that i am trying in some way say range in underpowerd, i am just saying that if you have this option you have the ability to use another spec and make the fight more longer and interesting ( i am not talking about staking here). Why do i want to make the fight more interesting well because now days all that happens is at the start of a fight a dd is used and depending on the persons luck he eighther gets some good hits in or 0 0s all the way through, then they use whip/drag long/ drag scim etc. to finish the fight. No dd rule will make the fights more variable and change the ruitine, i am not saying the ruitine is bad for staking but does get boring in a fun duel. i am not whining about getting my butocks kicked in with a dd because i have the power to do that to people i am just trying to say that for fun duels this will give more variation. A friend to all is a friend to none.
July 31, 200619 yr Author easy dont fight people with the daggers but does thuis mean we can use dd+s? sorry forgot to put + When you say dont fight people with daggers, well i find that almost all the time people have them and use them. I think i play a different game to you guys because no one agrees :uhh: A friend to all is a friend to none.

August 2, 200619 yr If it's a fun duel why do you care? If it's a fun duel, just ask the other person to not use a dd. They should agree if the duels for fun, since nothing is at stake. Cenin pân nîd, istan pân nîd, dan nin ú-cenich, nin ú-istach.Ithil luin eria vi menel caran...Tîn dan delu.
August 3, 200619 yr Now, saying no dd is like saying no coifs or black plateskirts allowed. It would require too much coding to dissallow all the different weildable items to prevent things like this, and there couldn't just be one for the dd. There could be an option of no poison, which would limit a fair amount of the people that don't duel regularly and would refuse to wipe their dds, or alternatively there could be a no dragon items option, but that would restrict other weapon choice flexibility.
