Ok, maybe not blatent flaming like "YOU SUCK' just yelling out loud, but common, going on about the whole thing about the textures ect. not being mine, kind of 'Indirect Flaming' lol...

Anyways, Witty just check first in the future please, dont be so hostile

EDIT:

But either way, it's a pretty mundane tutorial. No skill involved.

That could be a small flame, but uhm...yeah.

Aw, I can't get the texture from DevART atm. I love the effect though, nice one Nadril :D . I think you've overdone the blood though - he looks more haunting before splattered in ketchup :D . I love the effect it has on his left eye though... very creepy.

Nad, your blood looks a bit different. Not just the brush, but how it looks. Did you do anything other than 3 layers on multiply?

Try choosing a darker shade of red. Also, if you seem that your blood is too bright try and make another layer Multiply, or make a new one and Color burn i belive, (one of the burns lol :P)

You've submitted this to devArt havn't you?

Nice tut

yeah i have :D

Thanks you two :) did i do good for my first tut?

I would say yes. Very nice/creepy effect. Also, when duping the blood layers, try switching the blend modes for lighter/darker blood

If it isn't in your veins, you'll never know.

Yeah, i didnt mention in the tut but if u use like Color Burn it can add a nice effect as well if you want something that has a deaper texture. An example of a piece that i used Color burn on is this one:

Ps: Devart is backup in read only mode, so you all can access the textures now :D

Ok, so you search for a photo and save it. (Not your work)

You download some textures and layer them. (Not your work)

You download some brushes and layer them. (Not your work)

What exactly gives you the right to submit this on DevART as your work then?

for compiling them all together, like 90% or more of all photo manips is made with stock photos that are not yours..

Yes, I know, but a good photo manipulation involves you putting a lot of your own work, painting, brushing, manipulating, to get the final product, which I thought this didn't have. Just look at the tutorial, not a whole lot of work was done compiling everything together.

But, as Nad said, this is just a starting tutorial, a stepping stone, so this can be easily overlooked.

I personaly don't use the Texture layer style...i find it 2 easy and pretty common. In that work i used mainly photoshop filters and hard  manual brushing and fixing ...

About the photomanip i saw here...all the blood in your pics is way 2 unrealistic...try adding some noise to it, or a light 3d effect such as a slim plastic wrap and use color burn as layer style...else it looks more like some blood on a screen in front of the guy rather than on his fare...
