They tried to make them work all through-out the earlier and mid 1900's, but they just couldn't make it worth it. Jetpacks have been built. The most successful one could only fly for around 17 seconds though, with the ammount of fuel it could feasibly carry. Real "jet"packs will never exist, unless we get into antimatter... but that's such a long way off something better will come in the meantime. Odds are personal lift vehicles would be powered by some sort of anti-gravity device, if anything, not by rockets or jets.. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
