I'm pretty sure Caskade, The Jeppoz, Kinky Dave, Terley, and the rest have not all gone on vacation at the exact same time.

thats to bad because there were some very, very good artists between them... :wall:

for pixel sigmaker's, most of them left after the market boart stopped, and most people moved on to either abstract or buddies #-o

Yeh, Dark, I've always thought of you as one of the best pixellers here. You definitely don't suck.

What else did this community have to offer? Its not like this is the premier pixel art forum or anything. I'd rate this place pretty low on forums I would visit for purely artistic reasons.

 

 

 

Well, it's at least better than trying to go to something that's the next step up (such as CGTalk) for many people here. Kind of a medum as far as art goes. It's not the lowest of the low, but it most certainly isn't the highest.

 

 

 

 

 

Anyways, it is true that a lot of sig makers here did just make them for money...

I think they hope around other fan sites possiably clan sites too, and continue to make them. They just dont come here, Might have to check those out.

i still come back and see whats going on from time to time. also i never realy made sigs for money. i made maybe like 5m in sig making, 4.5m from one sig on its own. i just liked seeing all the differnt styles and now you dont get to see as many any more. i still make sigs every so often, not as if ill ever finish one. but with out the comps and what not, theres not much inspiration.

I was always here! Haha, I remember seeing Kinky Dave's girl by the river sig or whichever that one was, one of the first I'm pretty sure. I Made about 2 mil overall selling sigs, and alot of them were collabs with alex, waaaaaaay back in the day. Terley: Great guy, was on LP's forums for a while, and did the face scanning and all that jazz. Too bad he was banned. I still wonder why... Anyways. I'll probably always pop in here now and again. I loved doing my first few pixels.

 

 

 

All the major pixellers took breaks or quit because money is a greater incentive than artistic quality. They started for generally two reasons. To do art, and to make GP. Now, they have one. To make art, and that generally happens more often in RL. I miss selling sigs here, honestly I do, and I hope someday they let people sell their art again.

I don't usually log onto runescape as much as I log onto Tipit....The amount of money you get from pixelling was hilarious.

 

But yeah now I'm into a different type of art. Well maybe a pixel now and then, it's great to be able to think of something creative...draw it...and the bEST part is if people appreciate it =D

looking at my sigs...i used to suck REALLY bad haha..... no wonder i never made money at it :cry:

 

 

 

oh well i still try...and noone really left...TJ was never active...he came every now and then...and then it was only to sell, and a little crit here and there...look at his DA account if you want to see his work
