August 19, 200619 yr uhm well the best way to raise mage i would say for f2p is buy lots of chaos runes, wear full rune or some non magic armor, be wielding a air staff, and mayb some food. go to the lessers at karajarma(north ones), hide behind those rocks u can hide behind, then attk one :wink: . its easy exp, cuz itll jus keep "splashing"(not hitting any damage), and youll be on it for awhile :P it gives the same exp you get for hitting one i think, this ways fast tho \:D/ Ray::P2P::::Roaming Around::::Phat me pl0x?::::Beamster:: \:D/

August 19, 200619 yr I got from 40 to 52 ranging on lvl 7 dark wizards :D , very slow xp but you get tons of runes so you can train mage. They drop all runes except soul (laws, nats, and bloods (p2p) are rare, i think they drop cosmics too). For mage training, lesser demons at karamja are the best xp, I know you've heard this a lot but they just are. You're getting 158 mage xp from just the damage alone, I'm not counting the xp from just casting the spell because I don't know what spell you're using. You can do the one in draynor too, but it will probably be pretty crowded (and it's multiway) so Karamja is the best spot. You can also try curse failing as well. If you don't want to go to lessers then try some of the Stronghold of Security monsters or Ice Giants in the safespot. And to answer your final question, fire bolt is the most cost-effective if you're damage-training, strikes do too little and death runes are very expensive. August 20, 200619 yr i went from 40 to 55 mage doing crumble undead in varrock sewers than 55 and up high alch stuff (rune meds, steel pl8s and for p2p yew longs and better) till u get the lvl u desire. hope this helps
