1_man_army
looks like the new stadium curse has hit Arsenal A couple of Tottenham fans who were building it buried some spurs shirts under the pitch, so that must be it ;). Couple of Leicester fans did that to the Coventry one too XD! Lol I read in a newspaper a few months ago that some Scottish builders buried Scotland flags in the foundations of the new Wembley. Lets hope that curse works :D He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)
Scars
Boro 0 - 4 Portsmouth.Kanu is the joint top scorer at the moment. Portsmouth haven't conceded a goal as well.Something's going right there. Looking back at Boro Vs Chelsea, the importance of the result has increased.Otherwise,it would have been no points for Boro in 3games.Seems like Gareth Southgate is gonna have some problems.Boro are way unpredictable. Bubsa
West Ham sign Tevez & Mascherano I'm gobsmacked  How in the world have they pulled off this major coup? Those players, Argentina's finest along with Messi, could have had their choosing of any major European club. I'm glad Liverpool have just played West Ham! This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

1_man_army
Tevez & Mascherano went to West Ham? No seriously West Ham!? How they can afford even one of these guys is beyond me nevermind both of them. I seriously saw these two going to one of the big clubs of Europe but not West Ham. This has to be one of the biggest coups in a long time. They were both pretty impressive in the World Cup so its obvious to everyone how talented they are, on top of that they're both only 22 so they are bound to improve further so its going to be great for West Ham. =D> He who learns must suffer, and, even in our sleep, pain that cannot forget falls drop by drop upon the heart, and in our own despair, against our will, comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God. - Aeschylus (525 BC - 456 BC)
Bubsa
So many throwbacks to Ardilles and Villa it's uncanny. Apparently, WHU activated a ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã7.5M release clause in the Corinthians' contract for Mascherano. Such a clause was dismissed by the management, but was actually kept. The reason for the disclosure to West Ham is because Media Sports Investments, the company who owns the rights to the players, leaked the information to WHU, due to the continuous links with a takeover at the club. Such a relationship also softened the ground for Tevez and subsequently, I wouldn't be suprised if a takeover is launched relatively soon. Skeptical over the 'clause cover-up'? Don't forget, in May, Kia Joorabchian, the president of London-based MSI, said: "Tevez will leave Corinthians if a team pays the contract's release clause, which is between ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã69m and ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã83m." - after Chelski speculation. I highly doubt that a club like West Ham, having only just recently got back to the Premiership and it's money, and being involved in a low-key European competition, would have that money to throw about on one player. A major coup for Pardew, but he won't be sitting so comfortably in his seat for a few months. I suspect, if the takeover goes ahead, Media Sports Investments might want to install another Argentinian into the club, recently sacked national coach Jose Pekerman. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

Now, if you would kindly put the petty flaming aside and leave us to talk about football? Quite. Football is football and not american football. Seems like few or no people at all replied to my question if someone still often plays. So does anyone play? And if so, at a decent level or just near the local pub with friends? Potter_Pkr
I enjoy watching football and playing it on the playstation 2  I like playing football myself but not of a good level so usually in school, in the garden or in the park. Hopefully this season I will be able to see some games in the stadium. I know I sound a like a noob but unfortunately I dont have Sky Sports so I can only see the highlights in the evenings. Its a shame I live too far to see a Liverpool game or Manchester United. Perhaps I can go see some of the London clubs, maybe West Ham, or maybe Brighton who are in League 1. Shame they are not doing so well. Crawley Town who are currently at the bottom of the Conference are doing awful. Also England match tomorrow night, should be good. 1_man_army
scottish football is the best scotland are going to skin faroe islands I support dundee FC my sig is all about them We should beat them if Georgia could beat them by 6-0 but as usual with us it doesnt mean we will though, its just the Scottish way - do well against the big teams and get humiliated by the minnows :D They did pull off a draw against us last time eventhough we should have beat Italy in the 2nd game. I honestly believe we can take the Faroe Islands & Georgia in both qualifying games and possibly even sneak a win against Ukraine (if Shevchenko has some sort of accident while playing for Chelsea  ). Although to be fair even then we'll still need a miracle since we got the group from hell. Those players, Argentina's finest along with Messi, could have had their choosing of any major European club. I'm glad Liverpool have just played West Ham! UPDATE Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano have indeed signed for West Ham, and not just on a poxy one-year loan deal - these are permanent signings, folks. Who'd have thunk it? Of course, there's still much suspicion that Roman Massivelyrichovich ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ who owns a controlling stake in Corinthians, the Argentine pair's previous club ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ is behind this coup. Chat forums are abuzz with rumours that Chelski will end up signing the pair in January or at the end of the season, provided they impress at Upton Park.
