Bmw
RAM is something physical...you can't download more ram, if thats what you're thinking  And no, noone is going to recommend stealing ram from a store either. Purchase more ram, if that's what you want! You'll have to open up your computer case to install it. I'd recommend to tell ask your parents about buying a new computer if you need it, or bringing it to a shop to have ram purchased and installed appropriately. Diminished2b
It cost around $25 to upgrade your RAM to 512mb. What you need is a stick of 256mb RAM. Although you must find some that will be compatible with your motherboard. I'd say contact whoever you bought your computer off of and ask them about it. blade995
Well if thats the case i guess i'll have to buy a new computer. sigh... Summer job here I come. You don't have to buy a new computer to get more ram, just buy it like others said. Ram is one of the easiest things to install in a computer. All you do it plug it into the correct slot and thats it.
Cha0s360
But make sure you get the right type ti fit in your comp for example .. if you run DDR dont get DDR2 and make sure you get the right speed

vladmoney
If you bought your computer from a popular brand like Dell, Toshiba, HP, or what not, just go to Best Buy or any other similar store and they should tell you what ram to get for your model. Diminished2b
No, you have to open it up and stick it in a slot. It's very simple. You should insert it in one of the ones labeled "DIMM Slots". It may not look exactly the same.

Diminished2b
You're likely looking for 'PC2100' and not 'PC3200', and don't buy off of Walmart. Try http://www.newegg.com. You might want to confirm my little PC3200 to PC2100 idea.

You might want to confirm my little PC3200 to PC2100 idea. Speeds don't matter, ram downclocks to reach the speed of the other memory. To find out what speed memory you have download this program and take a screenshot of the memory tab. http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php
Diminished2b
Not all motherboards support that.. Aswell as a possible (but not here) waste of money.
blade995
There usally about the same price (up to pc3200 for ddr), and they will downclock to the speed of the motherboard specs/ other memory.
bobdjojo
I don't want to order anything from the internet im just to paranoid. Where would be a good place to buy a componet like that(not on the web)? And why a pc2100? -no longer playing runescape, I have moved on to play world of warcraft. Where would be a good place to buy a componet like that(not on the web)? And why a pc2100? The pc2100 is the speed of he memory. Download the program in my other post and take a screenshot of the memory tab to see what speed memory you need. Good stores would be Compusa and Bestbuy. Compusa being first because their usally cheaper. Be warned you will pay more in a store than online.

Cruiser
I don't want to order anything from the internet im just to paranoid. Thinking like that will only cost you more. Newegg.com handles millions upon millions of dollars in sales, solely online, and only in computers and electronics. If doing multiple millions a year in sales, owning multiple warehouses and a huge online following isn't trustworthy enough, I don't know what is. You're also going to pay quite a bit more by going to BestBuy or CompUSA, even after shipping. Both will have higher prices just because they have to staff the stores all over the place. Quick example (no links cuz you're still looking at what you need): BestBuy Online: 64.99 (before shippping) for a 512mb stick of Kingston RAM. The same stick of ram (down to the same model number) is 49.99 on Newegg with $5 shipping. Same thing, $15 cheaper online.
