Kill_Life
Essence Running Guide Index [1.0] What is it? [2.0] What to wield? [3.0] What to have in your Inventory? [4.0] Rewards [5.0] How to do it? [6.0] Worlds to run in [7.0] Afterword [8.0] Best how to get their [8.1] What to wield when going trough the Abyss [9.0] Being a Runecrafter with Runners [1.0] What is it? Essence Running is a fast and easy way to earn money. All you need to do is to bring Unnoted Essences to Runecrafters and get paid for it! [2.0] What to wield? The less you have, the longer you can run. And the longer you can run, the more money you can earn. What NOT to wield: Why not? Too much Weight, so you won't be able to Run long, wich is bad, you also don't need that much armor to run. What to wear: Why? Not much Weight, so you can Run for quite a long time. You can also wear "Boots of Lightness" to Run longer. I advice to wear the Tiara of the Altar you need to enter to make it go faster. [3.0] What to have in your Inventory? You need the following in your Inventory: Red: The Coins you'll get as a reward for Running. Blue: 2 Types of Runes wich don't weight a thing. You can swap a Rune for a Talisman when you don't have a Tiara. This way you'll have 25 free spaces. Green: 25 Spaces for 25 Unnoted Essences. You can now withdraw the Essences fast by clicking "Withdraw All". You can always take Pouches with you, just leave some Essences and the Runes then. [4.0] Rewards The Rewards are Coins or Runes. These vary from altar to altar, the closer to bank, the less money or Runes you'll get. [5.0] How to do it? It's simple. Withdraw 25 Unnoted Essences. Next go to the altar and look for people who say something like this: "Open, x-coins" or "Open, x-times runes". The "x" stands for the amount of Coins or how many runes you'll get. Trade them, the trade-window should look a bit like this: Ofcourse, the money can vary. But always get your Essences back! Now go back to bank. Unnote those Essences and repeat. Isn't that simple. Now, most people don't realise this, but only offer 25 Essences. Why? Cause a Runecrafter his Inventory looks a bit like this: Money for the Runner, Essences for the Runner and the Runes they crafted. If you calculate: 28-3=25. So they can only take 25 Unnoted Essences. Tips: - When their are a lot Runecrafters, always try to go to the same one. When you go to the same a lot, they will take you faster. - Don't start yelling: "C'mon, hurry up!" You aren't the only one their, wait for your turn, tough it can take a while. The Runecrafters hurry as much as they can! - Time is money!!! Remember that! When their are 2 people yelling: "Open, 2.5k". And 1 is yelling: "Open, 1.5k". Everyone wants lots of money and will trade the ones for 2.5k. Trade the one for 1.5k! No one their, you can trade immediatly! Walk to the bank, unnote the Essences, trade the 1.5k-person again. Now you have earned 3k while other people are still waiting to get their 2.5k in the same time! - Make sure you get Pure Essences if you offer Pure Essences! But don't expect to get Pure Essences if you give normal Essences. - Only trade once! That way, when the Crafter trades you, you won't decline since you trade again. It's very annoying, and you'll have to wait long before he picks you again! [6.0] World to run in Air Running: World 16 Law Running: World 66 and 99 Forums: Check the forums to find Runecrafters. Air, Fire, Nature, Law, those are the altars where most people take runners for. Find the place for the altars here Also, don't use the Abyss. Maybe for the Nature Running, but try to avoid it! It's faster, but since you won't deposit the money or Runes, it's dangerous to lose everything. Also you'll need to wear D'hides or other protection. This weights quite a lot. [7.0] Afterword Now, stop the begging! You now know a honest and fast way to earn money. This earns faster then begging. Happy running. [8.0] Best how to get their Here I'll tell how you get best to an Altar. This can be used when you are solo-crafting, or running for someone else. Air Altar: From Fallador West-bank, run/walk to the altar, craft the Rune Essences, and go back to the West-bank. Repeat this. This is the best and cheapest way! Mind Altar: From Fallador East-Bank, run up north, to the Mind Altar. Craft your Rune Essences and return the the East-bank. OR From Edgeville, go into wilderniss, and run West. Craft your runes and return. The maximum level Wilderness you will need to pass is level 4. Members can use Amulet of Glory. I don't really think it's needed, but since you (usually) won't be skulled, if you die, you won't lose much. Water Altar: From Draynor Village, run to the Water Altar, craft your Rune Essences, and return. Again, member can use Amulet of Glory to return to Draynor Village. Earth Altar: From Varrock, East-bank, run east, then north, to the Earth Altar. Craft your Rune Essences, and run back to Varrock East-Bank. I don't advice you to use Varrock-Teleport. Fire Altar: From Al-Kharid, go to Fire Altar and return to bank. Members can use Amulet of Glory. OR This technique is for members, and will use 1 Ring of Dueling (8) every 4 Altar-visits. From Castle Wars, take your Rune Essences. Teleport to Duel Arena with your Ring of Dueling, go to Fire Altar, craft your Rune Essences. Now teleport back to Castle Wars and reply. Body Altar: Run From Edgeville, trough Barbarian Village to the Body-Altar. Craft your Rune Essences, and go back to the Edgeville-bank, the way you came. Members can use Amulet of Glory to get back to Edgeville. Cosmic Altar: From Zanaris-Bank, run to the Cosmic Altar. Craft your Rune Essences, and return to the bank. If you are solo-crafting, you may use the Abyss, since this is a bit faster. I certainly don't advice you to use the Abyss when running for someone else. Note: To Cosmic-Craft, you need to complete The Lost City. Chaos Altar: I advice you to use the Abyss. Even when you run for someone else. You won't need to go trough the Maze. And to enter the Abyss, you need to go level 5 Wilderniss, for Chaos Altar, you need to go level 9 Wilderniss. Use the Abyss. Astral Altar: Use the bank on Lunar Isle, and go to the Astral Altar. With the Lunar Magic, you can use the Teleport. It's cheaper when you do it with friends, this teleport. It will use an extra rune, but it's way cheaper, when you do a Teleport, next your friend does one, you again, your friend, ... Note: To Astral-Craft, you need to have completed Lunar Diplomacy. Nature Altar: Take a lot noted Pure Rune Essences and Cash. Go to the Shop north of the Altar. Sell your Pure Essences, and buy them back, Unnoted. Go to the Nature Altar and craft your Pure Essences. Go back to the shop. When soloÃÆÃâÃâïng, you might use the Abyss. This is by far the fastest! You can also use the Fairy Ring code: CKR. Law Altar: From Draynor Village, go to Port Sarim, talk to a Monk, and go to Entrena, go to the Law Altar and craft your Pure Essences. Next thing, walk bank to bank to Draynor Bank. I strongly advice you use an Amulet of Glory. It will go way faster! I do not advice to use the Abyss when Law-Crafting/Running! Note: You must have completed Troll Stronghold. Death Altar: The fastest way is the Abyss as far as I know. Teleport to Edgeville and repeat. Note: To Death-Craft, you must have completed Mourning End - Part 2. For the Runecrafting Guide: Here Teleport Tablets: With Construction you can make Teleport Tablets. You may bring them with you: Varrock Teleport Tablet: While Earth-Crafting. Fallador Teleport Tablet: While Mind-Crafting. (Glory is better) Use this to do it faster and you have enough Law Runes. Why tablets and no direct Teleport? - It weights less. - With Air Staff, you still need: Fire/Earth/Water Runes and Law Runes = 2 Inventory spaces. Tablets oly take 1 and no staff. [8.1] What to wield when going trough the Abyss What do you need to wield when you go trough the Abyss? You'll need something that gives protection against: Ranged, Mage and Melee. It also has be cheap, since you can lose it. So, what do you wear: Head: Nothing Amulet: Amulet of Glory (4), (3), (2), (1). Never (0) since you need to get back to Edgeville. Body: Black D'hide body, or other colour. Legs: Black D'hide Chaps, or other colour. Boots: Boots of Lightness Ring: Nothing, or Ring of Life (if you can afford it). Or Ring of Dueling (if you would forget your Amulet of Glory). Gloves: Nothing. Or Black D'hide Vambs or other colour. Shield: Nothing Arrows: Nothing Weapon: (Explained now) In the Abyss, you have a choise: - Squeeze-trough gap - Distract Eyes - Mine Rock - Chop Tendrils - Burn-Down Boils - Nothing I adice you to have a Bronze Pickaxe. You can get it for free in Barbarian Village! With the Pickaxe, you can: Squeeze-Trough Gap, Mine Rock, Distract Eyes and do nothing. This is quite a lot with 1 weapon. No Tinderbox since it takes an Inventory-space = 1 less Rune Essence. No Axe, since you can't get a cheap replacement nearby. Map of the Abyss found: Here [9.0] Being a Runecrafter with Runners Here are the tips if you want to be a Runecrafter with runners. First I'll show you the Pro's and Contra's. Pro: - The experience is a lot faster then when you have to run yourself. Contra: - It can cost a lot! - It can get very borring. Now, if you want people to chose you, you need to have an attractive offer. Try to stick with the other people their offer. And if they raise their offer, you might want to change yours aswell. But it depends on the amount of people who are still trading with you. Next thing is: Dress as fancy/cool/hot/stupid/... as possible. Make sure people keep your outfit in mind, so they can see you a lot easier and find you a lot easier. Now, being a high level also helps. But isn't needed. It is easier because people will the the red name and find you easier. The next part to do is very important! Always say: "Ty" after a trade!! On an azerty-keyboard, the 2 letters are next to each other. Just type "Ty"! It's polite, and believe it or not, people will keep trading you the Essences because you are polite. So say "Ty"!! Let the people know you are open and what you offer. I advice to say something like "Open, 2.5k" or "Ready, 200 runes". But you chose the offer. Now for the hard part: The offer. You need to give people something. Always give back the Essences! And ofcourse runes/money. You can try to get the Money out of the Essences. But this is hard, most people will lose money for faster expercience. Well then: Happy Trading :) Credits to: - Kill Life for making this guide. - jemathonical for the only-trade-once suggestion. - Jock66600 for the Fairy Ring code. Comments/Questions? Just ask. Berrakus
As for your what to wear picture, I would recommend: Tiara and Boots of Lightness and nothing else (Tiara only if you are F2P). When you are running every KG counts. If you want to wear a ring, wear a Dueling Ring and if you want to wear an Amulet, wear a Charged Glory (P2P only of course) as these allow you to teleport. Dragon Drops - 10 Meds, 9 Legs, 5 Skirts, 2 Left HalfPM me to have any potions made or crafting done

It doesn't matter if you carry a cape and a ring with it. Tiara weights 1 kg, so it won't make any difference. And you don't need to teleport while runing, except when u use the Abbyss. But I recomand you don't use that. And Boots of Lightness are recomanded, not in the pic since I'm F2p. You can try. But, to be honest, almost no one will take you... Why: - You don't repay Essences. - Their are people who give up to 200 Airs and Essences back. But you can try. DeadPolkaDots1
I like the format but you say ''deposit 25 essence'' when it should be ''withdraw 25 essence''. And you also say ''completes MEP2'', should just be ''complete''. Good luck. =D> Quit RS to play real games. :P Bye TIF, miss you.
