elucin8er
We knew this, someone else sent in a msg to jagex. Killing the brothers increases your chance of getting a barrow item. Getting a higher kill count increases the amount/type of runes you get. Proper Daily blogging including Starcraft 2! gehjl
Here's what they told me when i asked em Good day to you sir, I have been playing RuneScape for a while and I enjoy looting the grave of the barrow brothers. After killing the 6 brothers, I get my kill count to about 20. I know somebody who got his kill count to 9999, and got some chaos and deaths, but I've gotten better drops with a smaller kill count. What exactly does the kill count do? Thank you. Dear Gehjl, Thank you for your message. A higher kill count will increase your chances of getting a better secondary reward. If your kill count includes the 6 Brothers it will increase the likelihood of you getting the fabled Barrow items. Happy Gaming and good luck in increasing your kill count. :) Don't forget to use the RuneScape Knowledge Base to find the answer to your queries quicker. You can also find help on all free player and all new member quests through the QuestHelp system. Yours Sincerely Mod So a higher kill count increases your chance of a secondary reward. Dragondan_Ro
actually i think i know whats going on.... if it was possible to get 100 karils and someone killed all he would have a gigantic chance fo karils armour if it was dharok it would be dharoks armour Give a man a lighter, and he will be warm for a while.Set a man on fire, and he will be warm for the rest of his life. Leesters
Not to hear Leesters tell it. :-s I always assumed that killing the brothers gave you barrows items, killing other stuff gave you runes, bolt racks, GP. The brothers give you everything. The runes, bolt racks, armor, its all a drop from the brothers. Each brother drops one of the following: 300ish mind runes 160ish chaos runes 80ish death runes 40ish blood runes 40ish bolt racks. 500-2000 gp Half key, drag med, or item. You can even count the runes you get to see how many brothers dropped something other than GP. If you kill all six brothers your CHANCES of getting a barrows item from a brother is higher. If you kill more monsters, your CHANCES of getting better runes from a brother is higher. The monsters drop small amounts of gp only, which still goes to the chest. Jagex is saying that increasing your kill count does not increase your chance of getting a barrows set item. But I always seem to do better when I have a kill count at 20. But what do I know? lol. I still wear a ring of wealth and don't kill bloodworms because the examine says "I think I'll keep my distance". \ A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! This has been proven by getting two of one set in one chest. Karil can drop Guthans pieces, and vice versa. I myself have gotten 2 pieces of Karils outfit in one chest, while killing only 1 Karil... so logically, Karil couldn't have dropped two pieces at once. A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. Leesters
It's possible to get 100 dharoks?!?!!? Yes, but you won't get 100 brother drops. Whether you kill Dharok once or a hundred times, he will only provide one drop to the chest. A circus in Runescape?? Oh my. REMEMBER RUNESCAPE KARMA! DarkDude
Barrows is too confusing for me =P but when is the Loot determined? When you kill each brother? When you open the chest? Just a thought, maybe each monster is linked to a brother? Skeleton, Bloodworm, Giant spider, small spider, small rat, giant rat. 6 of them, just the same amount of brothers... So maybe every time you kill a skeleton he "rerolls" dharok's drop, improving the reward. (So say you get bloods from dharok, and you kill a skeleton it can "roll" any of the drops, and if it's bloods a small percetange is added onto dharok's drop) Although it probably doesn't work like that.
