umm. on topic for once:

this may be the first sign of jagex's partnership with Wildtangent

wildtangent is a online game site, and jagex and them recently signed a contract to put "in-game advertising" in runescape. the news report states that some subliminal advertisements that will be put into rs will be OLd Navy and Coke.

read the full report here:

'sob' runescape is selling out... its so sad... If it really is noticable i will stop playing... i will not play a medievil MMO which involves the US navy and coke...

Plus wildtangent gives u god knows what random stuff on ur Pc

on topic: I loved lego back in the day... Back when lego was good.. and you could spend days buildin a 7 foot tower.. only for it to fall down as soon as someone touched it.. Lego FTW!

yeah this wildtangent thing is stupid I dont think jagex realises that so many players will stop if they make it modern :uhh: i love runescape almost as much as my girlfriend i think it would be very sad to see such an incredibly populargame to step in a small hole then the next step into a manhole with no cover

About Gunshafted's comment on adverts...

I believe the adverts they are talking about are the ones in the update screens(which i'm sure don't load up in the time that it takes to read the update) It also has got something wrong in that report, Jagex does have adverts, in F2P they have the adverts at the top of the page(on world 1 they don't load because so much is going on within the server)

Heh, just look like oversized plastic colored blocks to me. Anyways, well for those talking about endorsements and what not, there have already been some on Runescape and that could definitely be one of them. Here's a link to my friend Fnaa's comics Fr33 St0ff Plz! In this specific comic that I'm linking, well anyways, you'll see lol. It's just kinda making fun of the endorsements and ads. Also check out the others that he's made, the most recent is really good.

Good god.... soon there'll be soda vending machines and ps2s and walkmans and... [developmentally delayed]ed giant legos... "your reality level has advanced to level 10!"

And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee.

Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,

that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.

So we shall flow a river forth to Thee,

and teeming with souls shall it ever be.

In nomine Patris et Filii et Spiritus Sancti.

On a serious note, I think they ARE what you might call 'legos', but a medieval version of child's toys, probably painted wooden play blocks. Not really that amazing or rare, in my opinion...

  • Never trust anyone. You are always alone, and betrayal is inevitable.
  • Nothing is safe from the jaws of the decompiler.
