It looks really good. Although I did find this image on google a few months ago. If you did it, it looks very good.

neither one looks good...they look like 1 sec filters

(and he means gaussian blur on the first on)

second one is just a color dodge (or something of a similar effect)

Not really, it looks like you just duplicated the character and set it to linear light. :?

First one just looks like you've added a blur and set to lighten. Now if you had made each side different (one side sunset, the other day) it would've taken a lot more work.

Still looks too blurry. You should've just got the original and started again rather than just do a sharpening.

Do more than filters, use adjustment layers etc.

Using filters on googled images isn't exactly... good.

Both of them are incredibly blury. Just a blured layer over the origional set to lighten/overlay...

gaussian blur / overlay pls

It's best not to call people who have more experience than you, a newb. Weeb has been doing GFX for a lot longer so he would know what he's talking about. Even if he was wrong, he was right about it being a simple manip. Anyway, I can't rate the island manip unless I see the original. As for the character, it looks like you duplicated it, maybe added a filter, and changed the blending mode.

=; the spam.

i like the first one... the second one looks like crap. on the first one, i like the first version... that sunlight effect really only wroks for me when the light is coming through a tree or somethign of the sort.

wop wop
