To start off, I'm trying to reach 55 Slayer for Slayer Dart, and will eventually have larger goals in mind (but no "I'm going for 85 Slayer!" right away, that's just insane...). (Started 9/17/06) SPECIAL THANKS TO... - Runeman231 for the HYT - Velorina for giving me an Ectophial, which has saved my wagon too many times to count. - Skill_Caster for being a good friend, and helping to plan out how I'll get Legends accomplished. - Odd231 for giving me tons of food and runes for Horror From the Deep, and a free Glory. [Rest in Peace, quit 10/27/06] (note: Stats pic got deleted o_O I'll repost it later...) SKILL GOALS: And now...The main Blog of Blog-ness. 9/19/06 45 Prayer! \ Granite Shield (ended up getting 2, actually...) 63 Defense. - Finished Chaeldar's Slayer Task. Followed i_windy_i's advice and got 109 Blue Dragon's as Slayer Assignment from Vannaka. :shock: Getting closer...:ohnoes: 9/20/06 - New Slayer Assignment from Vannaka: 44 Werewolves. Woohoo, pretty easy. - With my trusty Hellcat by my side, I tore through the Werewolves with my Dragon Scimitar and got a nice Defense, Combat, and HP level. - 34 Ankou, courtesy of Vannaka, further helping me along with my goal. - 34 Ankou and one Left Skull Half later, I return to Vannaka to be welcomed with a new Slayer Assignment of 96 Ogres. Easy as...well, pie! (All Big Bones will go to Skill_Caster, so he can work on his Prayer level for Legends. :) ) - Takin' a break and working on the Herblore for Legends; GREAT thanks to Skill_Caster for helping to plan how to get the Herblore; went from 29 to 30, then used the Magic Tome of Exp from Darkness of Hallowvale and got 33; doing Eadgar's Ruse as we speak, which should get me 36-38 :uhh: I'll then do One Small Favour for the rest of the experience. 9/21/06 :wink: - After a small break to kill some Bronze Dragons to celebrate my level 38 Herblore, it's back to Slayer. - 96 Ogres later, I then recieve 65 Hellhounds as my next task. Oh joy. 9/23/06 - Got off my lazy wagon and finally Camelot Tele'd to 60 Mage. Owning Kolodion. (note the amount of people in the background...:ohnoes:) Yay, Saradomin Cape. - Going to Barrows with a mate, hoping to get something... 9/29/06 - Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on much...been bogged down with homework -_____- anyways, got my pures Range to 57 and Mage to 46 :D I do believe he's gonna own. :x Currently 31 Agility, gonna do Tourist Trap and get 35, then do Horror From the Deep. Wish me luck. 10/6/06: Rising Again - Blech, finally Burthorpe'd that Hellhound assigment and got 31 Crawling Hands. Meet ya back here in a minute :wink: 10/11/06: Another Goal - Sup, decided to go for Swan Song so I can fish Monkfish until 70 Cooking, then finish Recipe For Disaster :ohnoes: so I decided to work on Farming for Garden of Tranquillity... 2 levels and I'm thar. 10/12/06: One level now - Hey again, I'm nearly there with my goal of 25 Farming... (missed level up, oops) - Later that day... 10/18/06 - Whoo, messed around on my Pure and left the Fire Giants with 60 Range, 50 HP, a Rune Scimmy, and 43 Combat! 10/22/06: Monkey Madness Done! There's a very odd story behind this...I died the first time I fought him because I panicked and ran straight at him XD but...I fought him again, and when I HAD killed him, he started to fall to the ground and then Fire Waved me. I went back, got another Sigil, put it on, and--what's this? I'm not teleporting? I checked my Quest Log, only to find that I had already killed it. I was kinda frustrated after that, because I was sick of Ape Atoll at that point, but quickly ran back to the Grand Tree and finished the quest, no worries. 10/25/06: 43 Herblore and 171 QP 10/28/06: The Path of a Legend - Hi. I've spent the last couple of days training for Legends and finally got everything together today. I'm currently at the part where you must create the Bravery Potion. I'll keep ya updated, peoples. 10/30/06: 3 Long Days... - After 3 long days, I finally completed Legends, alongside Skill Caster...I spent the 4 trainings on Prayer (x2) and Magic (x2), bringing me up to 47 Prayer from 45 and 63 Magic from 62 (Swan Song with a Mage Pot, yay!!!) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism is welcome! Retired 2146 overall - 136 combat - 6 skillcapes Plus I think the whole teenage girl thing will end soon (hopefully), because my girlfriend is absolutely in love with him(she is 18), and im beginning to feel threatened by his [Justin Bieber] dashing looks. PSOfr33k Posted September 18, 2006 Author Share Posted September 18, 2006 Haha for those of you asking about the Rune Halberd/Dragon Halberd, I haven't done the quest for the Dragon one (I don't feel like getting that Agility >_>...), and I got this adamant halberd for 15k a long while ago, and it always hit very hard for some reason...Personally I find a Rune Halberd a waste of money, but whatever :| . And I DO bring a DDS; I Spec the Generals then halberd from a safespot o: (the poison speeds things up quite nicely...) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

i_windy_i Posted September 20, 2006 Share Posted September 20, 2006 I would personally tell you to visit Vanakka (or Mazchna, but that's probably too much running between tasks, and too many too low level things) and not Chaeldar. Not to demean you, but at 100 combat (on main, not pure) I still have issues with an occasional Lost City task. What you have to realize is that Chaeldar will give you lots of things that have high def, hit hard, and are probably safe only with a hally for you. (Safe = not much food required. AND Sometimes they don't have safespots. Hello Burthorpe.) Slayer xp is directly related to damage done. It doesn't matter if you're meleeing a hill giant or hallying a troll general. The first is faster (d long vs hally), more damaging (drag vs addy/rune), and more accurate (80 atk has plenty of trouble on the generals.) And to continue our example, each hill giant drops the exact same big bone as a troll general. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
