BlueLancer
I would probably buy a gaming console for a blind person (especially a child) if he/she asked for it as a birthday present etc. In case you're wondering, yes it's possible to actually even be good at video games if you are blind. My childhood friend has a relative who is blind, about 12, and she can play video games actually pretty good just because her hearing ability is so developed (especially fighting games like Smash Bros Melee on GameCube). It IS possible to play games that way, and if it makes the person happy, I don't see why not... Happiness doesn't know the boundaries of "useful" or "proper" playing of video games which are meant to be only entertainment, after all... Yoda
I wonder if it's possible to make video games suited for the blind.
Mercifull
Do you not think that its possible to play using sounds and touch senses? frogspoons
I think if you can find something that makes a blind person happy it's a great achievement and im fully behind it. CANE Just to be different. Think about it. A freaking Dragon Cane with a Dragonstone gem.The spec will simply your character equiping a glove and beachslapping the enemy, who will break down and do the Cry emote for 10 seconds straight. Having played SSBM, I can't quite understand how this is possible. Yes, granted, in some areas of the game it is possible to play with sound alone, such as dodging attacks. However, try as I might, I can find no sounds that give clues as to when you're near the edge of arena's, or tell you when you are near enough to an opponent to tell when you are within attacking range. Nadril
Is this at all related to that one blind kid who can tell where he is using his hearing only? It is very possible for a blind kid to play a video game. Harder, but possible.

No_OnE
I think it's very possible. You have to realize that his hearing is much better than a normal person's hearing. For what he lacks in sight, he almost fully makes up for in hearing. I'm sure it's harder but for someone like him, I think it's very possible. On a side note, this kid is amazing. Using echos to "see"? Wow.

eyehawk78
He may also also not be completely 100% blind. I think if you have less than 10% vision so he may be able to make out some shapes on the screen.
