New approach to KBD

Featured Replies

I was wondering if i could solo the KBD with verax, then subxeno pmed me saying that i should go experiment so i potted up and ran to green drags (with no anti fire sheild) and was protected :)

Say you could go to KBD lair with your verax and solo it using your antifire pot and protect from mage and after 3 or 2 KBD kills just drink your anti again..or have some sorta timer...so what you guys think?

would work, but the instant that pot runs out you better have protect item on -.-
thats why you pot every 2-3 kills for a precaution and if you want a timer..

Protect from mage doesn't work with KBD.

Neither do antifire potions in protection from his other dragonfire attacks.

man im confused...so anti pots work but mage prayer doesnt?...at least you can still kinda rip through him.

I don't think it works on him. I think that he would own you with fire, you might get a kill if you're high lvl and can kill fast.

Yes it does, to an extent.

If you use anti d fire and mage prayer its about the same effect as a d fire shield.

CANE

Just to be different.

Think about it. A freaking Dragon Cane with a Dragonstone gem.

The spec will simply your character equiping a glove and beachslapping the enemy, who will break down and do the Cry emote for 10 seconds straight.

the trouble with this idea is that while it would work fine while the kbd uses normal dragonfire attacks, the problem comes when he uses his other three.

I'm not drunk! You wouldn't dare call me drunk if i was sober!

Its not new, I killed around 50 with this method until I found out that whip hits him better.

1 off the breaths freezes me so i wont need fire, the other poisens me..and the last 1 roasts me like a porker..but thats what the anti fire pot is for of course :)

Whenever I go to the KBD I range with my crystal bow.

I use anti-fires and protect from magic and it does have about the same effect as an anti-fire shield. The benefit of ranging is that you don't get hit by the meelee as well as the various breaths.

The one thing you have to be really careful about is having the protect from magic on, if you don't the KBD can hit around the 50-60 mark I believe.

Well it's changed then. When metal dragons came out jagex changed it so that Mage protect does not work against KBD, even with anti-fire pots.

Erm, with no anti-fire shield he still hits you 30's.

I once tried to spec him with hally, as taking the shield off and got red barred in matter of seconds.

Not a very good idea.

Though you can range him if other people are meleeing him, and use mage prot:
