Are the skill capes going to be so good that people wont even try to get a fire cape anymore? I mean would it be better to get a 99 combat skill than get a fire cape.

Anyways, as for your question, I highly doubt people will stop getting fire capes simply because getting a fire cape is much easier than getting 99 in the combat skills. For instance, even if the level 99 outdid the strength bonus of a Fire cape, the large population with less than 99 str would most likely still get Fire Capes. The way I see it, the order in which people will get capes from now on will be as follows:

 

Regular Cape (starter)

 

Obsidian/Legends (intermediate players and high level players, most general useage, especially against "boss" monsters and in wilderness)

 

Fire cape (high leveled players without 99 stats)

 

Stat capes (players with 99 stats).

Definetly. Beating the Fight Caves means you have patience, skill, and money. Skills means that you have patience, skill, and determination. for example, it takes much more work to get a 99Slayer Cape than it does to get a Fire Cape. Yes, and check the other topics. There isn't a need for so many.

Fire cape takes determination as well, not like it's a first time thing.. And I've seen many people give up after trying 10+ times.

Not quite true on the second part. Money plays as much a role as determination in getting skills to 99.

A lot of people on the fight caves tend to forget that reflexes play a huge role in the ability to succeed. I still don't have a fire cape, and have tried just about every method that a person can think of, but I'm not too worried...I just accept it as having reflexes to slow to pull it off.

 

 

 

Anyway, yes the strength cape will probably have higher str and the mage cape higher mage than the god capes...However, think of it on the flip side these capes will surely cost something to even get. For all we know it could be specific quests to do and repeat just to wear a crazy cape on our shoulders. I will admit that I look forward to the ranging cape, because what's more fun than throwing knives at people in the wilderness...than doing it with an animated cape :P

Even if it doesn't cost extra to get these capes...until you hit a 99, you are going to use obby/fire/god/legends...it won't completely replace it for the VAST majority of players. The players that do have 99 in a stat will most likely wear the new capes, but the Fire Cape will still comand respect, at least from me; the Fight Caves, after all, are not just based on stats, but skill, awareness, and your effectiveness in fighting. Both are respectable in their own right; many people without 99 stats can get fire capes, but conversely many with 99 stats cannot get the fire cape.

+10 str with absolutely no defense bonus, i would like that... people complain about armor defense stats too much, yeah the stats help but i mean, why are their so many low def pures? i mean really am i dying more because i have 94 def instead of 99? no...i hate food and armor and prayer and teleports and whatever the hell else i want to save my life.
