October 4, 200619 yr Is killing the giant mole a good way to get rare drops? Some people say that the mole has good drops; others say the opposite. I know there's always a chance to get valuable magic seeds from nests, and half keys, dmeds, and shield halves from the mole. Anyone have an estimate on the drop rates? I don't know if it's luck or something, but I've mostly been getting just runes from the mole lately. October 4, 200619 yr i have killed the mole about 20 times and i find it very annoying...But the farming things you get from the birds nests is helpful, and the nests themselves bring in some cash. no terrific drops yet though...its luck really, just bring a ROW...can't hurt Click for mah Blog!- I'm not sure why you would though because i never update it Achieved 99 Thieving 3/10/07-992nd to it
October 4, 200619 yr Nope. If you are soloing him, he keeps on tunneling and is hard to kill. If you poison it, it may tunnel somewhere you don't know, die, and you lose the use of that poison and the items in it. ~M
October 4, 200619 yr i from what i seen of the drop rate, its not that great :? well it's not bad, it's just a pain to kill id say ive seen through the deaths of about 100 moles with or without partners saw 1 dmed drop, tho no glory amulets as the bestiary says... he's just slow to kill
October 4, 200619 yr I just go mole killing for fun, proslyte armor with dd++ or whip and range is what I use. I don't care if it doesn't have good drops, it's fun to kill alone.
