Get Lost!

The third season of LOST is finally here. Tonight on ABC, mysteries will begin to be resolved, and many new ones will spring up along the way. Some stuff I'm wondering about:

-What is up with the polar bears?

-Who were those guys in the Antarcic research station?

-Will Scott and Steve finally get speaking roles?

-What exactly is "the monster"/"the security system"?

-Why was Libby at the nuthouse with Hurley?

-Did the hatch blow up?

-Will MIchael and Walt finally escape on the Others' boat?

Discuss this most excellent TV show.

-What is up with the polar bears?

Most likely studied by the Zoology area in the DHARMA Initiative. But who knows why...

-Did the hatch blow up?

Yes, but we won't know that until next week.

Ahh man, the season premier was awesome.

SPOILERS FOLLOW OBVIOUSLY

[hide]This episode is only about the three abducted people;, Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. You figure out a little more about how Jack's wife left him, you figure out a little more about "the others." I had a theory that the others are actually the good people. I think that the last episode made me think that a little more. In the previous seasons they always said they were good, but everyone assumed they were bad, because they abducted people. I always thought that was kind of a foreshadowing, that you would figure out they actually are good. I think tonights episode, along with the info we got over the summer playing the Lost Experience (what the numbers mean), we can conclude they are good. [/hide]

/SPOILERS

This and a great episode of South Park, all in one night. I'm about to explode :D .

What Brett said. If you haven't seen it yet, and you see a post about it right after the season premier finishes, and you don't expect to see spoilers, then you deserve to have it ruined for you.

Not only that, the original post didn't have any spoilers, just questions. My post had spoilers, and I clearly labeled them spoilers, even though I really didn't have to. Once again, if you read it, it is your own damn fault.

Woah, the season opener was awesome. I liked Sawyer in his little zoo.

[q=Mr Friendly]It only took the bears two hours.[to get the crackers][/q]

Who is Carl: a Tailie, or one of the others who's in on the experiment?

Juliet mentioned that the underwater station (The Hydra) had sharks and dolphins in it. Is this where the DHARMA shark from "Adrift" came from?

The Others seem to be very into performing psycological experiments on their prisoners. The "book club" scene at the beginning completely blew me away. So the others lived in a little town on the island, just waiting for people to crash?

"Henry Gale's" real name is Ben? Wtf? (god that guy creeps me out)

~~~
Also, It looks like we'll have to wait a little longer to find out what happened to The Swan. The promo for next week's episode showed no sign of Charlie, Locke, Desmond, or Eko.
By the way, there are spoilers in this post.
Yes i've watched lost. Is it a comedy? Because I think it should be, some of the acting is terrible I can't help but laugh when watching it. It's basically a soap opera with loads of different characters doing loads of different stupid/pointless things, ofcourse it's completely unbelievable. Only the gullable believe it's "true" and only the stupid watch it.
I would rather (yes I would) watch paint dry than this. All you people that watch it, wake up!! And stop following the crowd.
Lol, does reading the massive article on Wiki count as watching? I just wanted to know whay everyone loves this show.
I'm pretty we sure we all know it isn't "true." I feel sorry for you though, apparently you had to watch the show yourself to find out it was fiction.
I would have really liked to get in on this show but from what I hear, to understand anything that's going on you need to have watched it from the start. It just seems like more trouble than it's worth.
I looked it up on wikipedia one time and that almost drove me crazy.
Don't feed the troll, just ignore caliguala, and eventually he'll go away.
I think Carl was one of the Tailies.
I also assumed this was where they "trained" or "created" the shark from Adrift.
It seemed to me they weren't really waiting for anyone to crash, it just happened, and they went with it. The "others" are/were all Dharma scientists, who are still on the project of saving the world by changing the "numbers".
My brother in law called Henry Gale the creepy eyed dude, and I knew exactly who he was talking about :P .
Charlie is OK, he was at the end of the last episode of season two, with just a little bit of a hearing problem.
Episode 2: The Glass Ballerina was awesome. Theories, facts, and spoilers galore:
-Alex and Carl = possibly the Lost version of Luke and Leia?
-Jae (Sun's boyfriend) obviously isn't the father of her child. If he was Sun would be 3 months pregnant by now and quite a bit fatter.
-Sawyer and Kate are planning a revolt, but Ben knows...
-PMG THE RED SOX WON THE WORLD SERIES!?!?!?!?!?
-The woman that Sun shoots: "We're not the enemy." Interesting. This ties in with Ben's "We're the good guys."
-Sun is hot.
Next week: "Dude, the hatch blew your underwear off."
It was weird.The last episode in Belgium we could see was ending with
Jack,Kate,Hurley,Locke and Sawyer going to the others village.Where they got captured,they got betrayed by Michael because if he lured em he would see his son back.
So it ends with Michael gettin on a crummy boat and the others sitting on a dock..
What now?
I like Lost, but not enough to bother with downloading it. I can wait until it airs... or at least record on my PVC so I can remove/skip the oscene amount of adverts Channel 4 puts on it.
I don't think Alex and Carl are brother and sister. Alex is the french chick's daughter that was taken away. She never said anything about two of her babies taken away. I still think Carl is one of the Taillies, and he and Alex are a couple.
Jin is the father. Locke had a medical problem with his legs, which the island fixed. Rose had cancer, which the island fixed. Jin was sterile, and the island fixed it.
I've been saying "the others" are the good guys for over a year now :P .
Sun is hot, but Kate is hotter :o .
^ Do you think Alex has run away from the Others and is hiding, or was she just hiding so she wouldn't be seen?
Never considered the first possibility, but now that you mention it, that might be possible. I think she was probably just hiding so she wouldn't be seen though.
Episode 3: "Further Instructions" shocked me by being centered around Locke and still managing to be good.
-Did Locke shoot Eddie or didn't he? The flashback ended just before anything happened.
-So Locke was a drug grower/smuggler/dealer, eh? Perhaps he stopped Charlie from using heroin as a way to make up for what he did in the past.
-Eddy's Geronimo Jackson shirt was great. (Remember their record on the shelf in The Swan?) This confirms that Locke's flashbacks took place sometime in the early 1980's; that's when The Swan's orientation film is copyrighted.
-Desmond is able to see the future?
-Polar bears are back, excellent.
Next week: Sawyer gets tortured. (Again!)
I think, well it looked like, Locke put his gun down.
But then Eko said he was a hunter in Locke's weird vision thing. How thinks Eko is dead?
