Question about faster respawns on heavily populated worlds

Featured Replies

I've heard that on more populated servers the respawn times of things such as ores and trees is faster. Does anyone know if this applies to player grown trees?

Also I thought I saw a post at one time with an estimated list of times for things to respond, but I can't find it anymore. Anyone have a list of those or know around the time of a magic tree respawn on more populated vs. less populated servers?

Thanks

EDIT: And on Ishepp's suggestion, I tried it out. This timting is for the respawn of player grown magic trees.

World 77 - 1138 people - 2 minutes and 40 seconds to respawn.

World 2 - 2000 people - 2 minutes to respawn.

Bit of a difference, but on lower player trees (yews and maples), it might be even better as their respawn would be faster than normal.

If Jagex ever made a perfect update, there would be players complaining about nothing to complain about.

I don't think resources respawn faster on fuller servers :S. Can someone confirm this?

As far as I've seen, its all the same no matter the population.

Ya, resources do respawn faster on more populated servers. I don't know about Player-Grown-Trees though.

Trees, monsters and items respawn faster on fuller servers.

Farming stay the same.

Fishing stays the same.

I always try to look for a good world when slaying, cutting trees, etc.

Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !

Things spawn faster on a more populated world because of the incresed competition to try and get them but things that other people can't get e.g farming stays the same no matter what the population

kill a monster (eg: blue dragon) and time it with a stopwatch...

it does change

I'm surprised some people haven't noticed the respawn time change.

Go to World 1 and see how fast Coal respawns in the guild!

The ideal world is quite full, but with not too many players at the resource you want.

The old "mine on a full world" argument falls very flat if the world is full of miners!

That's why I'm hoping that player grown trees respawn the same rate as "community" trees. My own tree with the quicker respawn might be worth going to a crowded world.

well the best way to find out is just to try it. When your tree is grown time it on a full world and on a world with least ppl in it and see. Then you can add to this and let us all know

Took you up on your idea, edited first post with results.
