Hey guys,

Are you really thinking what to do in the future? Because i am. I dont want to be stuck in a dead end job, and be a 'middle class man', i want to be someone, and be famous aswell. Has anyone got any advice for me? Ty

Find out what makes you happy, and make a career from it.

Football, and Runescape, but i wont be able to make a career out of either of then. Theres also my guitar, but its a bit too risky.....isnt it?

But not everyone can be famous. I hate to say this but possibly, if there's nothing you enjoy and you're good at, you're being too ambitious. You should try some new sports, new musics, that kind of thing, see what you fit in with.

playing guitar is pretty risky, but if you make good grades and work hard you will be successful. I dont make very good grades (b's and c's) but i also go to a very high end and difficult school. If i went to a public school i think id be making a's and b's no doubt.

I'm really not too worried about being very successful. People that have high end jobs usually are under tons of stress and pressure which can really mess there heads up. Plus you can be working weekends and very long hours. I dont want to have to do that I'd rather make mediocre pay and be able to enjoy myself.

I can see where this is coming from (all your previous threads). Just make good grades, and you might get lucky. Invent something new?

That's a really good idea! It's the kind of thing that needs alot of technology, though. And knowledge. But hey, keep it up! Ever done anything like that before?

Like be a "Thomas Edison" of the new century. The guy who invented Facebook is rolling in cash, and I don't think he's even 30. Be an entrepreneur?

I'll take that as an answer to be you're not old, nor mature, enough to be worrying about this kind of thing just yet. Maybe when you hit secondary school..

You're only 14? Crap, stop worrying, go outside and do stuff. It's too early to be thinking about what you want to be.

Hell, when I was 14, I thought it'd be a sweet deal to be famous and all sorts of random crap like that. Three years later and I've reconsidered that position by a lot. Forget about it. You've got a while yet to mature and figure out what you really like to do.

most footballers started playin footie when they was like 3 or 4 though, and im 14, lol

Its never really too late. I wanted to install car audio ever since I was 13-14, and so far, that hasn't been too hard a dream to follow.

Metal fans, check out my band!

Lav.. I'm going to try not to be an a* this time..

You say you want to be famous. Well along with fame comes the stress of dealing with paprazi (sp?), showing up at events that have nothing to do with your career, and much more. When I was 14 I thought being famous would be great. Hell, I even worked my a* off at golf, and my dream was to play in the PGA. Well, I abondoned that dream when I was 15 and since then I've taken up photography which I plan to stick with. Seeing as how you're only 14, I don't think you should be worrying about your career since you have a long ways to go. Right now all you should just be worried about making the most of your life. A career is a ways off, but it's not that far. Once you start your career you'll have less time for all the fun things in life that you should be doing now instead of worrying about the future. Just go out and have fun, and chances are you'll find out what you want to do with your life before you finish high school.

I'm 17 and I still don't know what I want to do with my life. Although the last thing I want to be is a celebrity.

I had this exact dilemma at your age, i realised i was going into senior years (wait maybe a bit older) and i had no idea what subjects to choose according to what i wanted to be. I settled on advertising because you can work anywhere and its very profitable. But mainly it interests me alot. I also play guitar for small gigs, parties and pubs. It is a risky business, you need to be GOOD to get far but its better to have as a hobby.

Lvl 80 construction.

Dragon Drops: 11 (4 Chains, 2 Axes, 1 Med, 2 Skirts, 1 Legs, 1 2h)

God Wars Drops: 4 Zamorakian Spears, 1 Godsword Shard 1

I'm 15, and I've pretty much got my life planned out, at least till after college. All I have to do is start visiting and checking out colleges, which I have begun to do already.

But then again, I go to a very high-end school, and it pushs you in making vital desicions for life. I'm in art, so we have art schools visit us every now and then, but I'm not going into art, well if you consider naval architecture/interior design art.

Building a reputation would be nice; What you most likely don't want to be is a famous "celebrity". Some of their lives have been literally ruined by paparazzis and freaks that follow them around all day in hopes of cashing in on them.

Money is probably what you should be thinking about in the first place, you can't even start a musical career unless you have the money or a job to support it.

Many psychological studies support the fact that getting fluent at almost anything will take over 10,000 hours of practicing.

That means you can't have the kind of attitude I remember you had in your former posts, the one minute you think about something 'cool' and the next you're bored by it (I remember you earlier said you wanna be a pro-football player) If you don't have commitment and disclipine, you will have a hard time building a reputation for being good at something, even more earning money with your skills.

The other way around is getting to be mediocre just like most of the western people, which you don't want to be. Considering that I really suggest you build mental strength to commit yourself to something. Heck, I've practised playing the guitar for maybe a few thousand hours in my life and I still make dumb mistakes. You learn all the time, just keep focused. I play just for fun, though.

So becoming fluent in a language will take me around a year and a half if I spent half the day studing, so then about 4 years?
