Yes, the ground is a bit plain, just black stripes don't make it look cool. Maybe some rocks and stones somewhere? Dead trees?

 

 

 

And borders might make it look better.

I'm gonna tell you what "*@#**((I))**#@*" think should be improved.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The clouds: It's kind of difficult to see the clouds. Add some highlights accentuating the clouds' form. Also, don't be afraid to separate them.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The lightning: It's a bit bland. Try adding white at some point of them to really show the electricity. Also, there's too much lightning.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The mountains: They're there. That's about all I can say. Try to add something to them to accent them. Make a large boulder...or an animal standing on the slope. They're kind of boring right now.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The ground: See above. Though I do like how you put the ladder. ;)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The lava: Too many bubbles. :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The rune rock: It looks soft. Make it jagged, to make it seem more rigid.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The people: Their arms are a bit freakishly long, but it's not too bad. You have good poses, I see a lot of people with their arms sticking straight out and down.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The spider: Looks good. Heh.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Overall: You're good, you just need to pay attention to smaller details to bring the sig fully alive.
