StealthBloo
I just mined 2k iron ore while getting 60 mining. Now I don't know what I should do with the iron ore. Should I use it to get my smithing up or should I sell it for 200k? (btw, money is extremely tight right now, just got my pass back after bein hacked) (also, my smithing level is 47 or 48, forget which one, and I need to get it to 55 sometime) :-k You Gotta Have A Mind To Speak Your Mind. Marco
I always believe Skills come before money every time. If you get hacked again you'd lose the 200k if you sold the Iron Ore, while if you got your Smithing up you'd lose nothing from it : And I love Smithing anyway, so yeah, become dependant on your Skills for your money. fire_mage_9
I think you'd be better off selling the iron for 200k and buying iron bars, because smelting iron is a pain. With 2k iron ore, you'd be lucky to get 1k iron bars (however, if you are p2p and can get rings of forging, make the bars and smith). People can buy/sell iron bars for as low as 150ea, so you can get 1.3k iron bars from 200k, which is alot better than 1k or less just smelting. However, if you buy bars, you forfeit the extra exp of actually smelting them yourself, so in the end it's up to you.
godsfearme
I could never decide so the best thing i would do is to split it in half. smelt and smith half sell the rest. I will shoot down any one with my bitting wit, and sarcasm! What POSSIBLE reason would someone have to make a fake like that?Does he profit from faking a picture like that? Does it help him at all?Jesus Christ, stop being so suspicious. This is Tip.it for God's sake, not RuneHQ. -_-
Sharper
If you are p2p you should buy enough Ring of Forgings to smelt 2K bars. Then you can smith iron knives, which can be sold for 40gp each. This actually gives you roughly 400k in the end, double which you could get just selling the iron ores. It takes time to do the whole process but you are getting a lot of experience and more gold in the process. It's a win-win situation I'd say. Doomster
Mine 4k coal, and make steel - though actually, even in F2P at 50% success, Iron is actually more XP per ore. If you need smithing XP, better to smith what you have, otherwise you may end up needing to "buy XP" later, or at lest spens as long aging mining even more materials. M200r
now you can enter mining guild, so mine coal to meet your number of iron 2 coal to 1 iron. Then smelt them to steel bar and sell them 525 each!, it can be worth 1 mil gp! Or smith them to full steel set, I Guess you can get about 200 set from 2k steel bar, which worth 900k gp plus you get lot smith xp. But it is your choice Correct answer for "is this a question?"is "if it is a question then it is a answer!"

So i would said about 20k for all those rings. I rather do steel so i have 100% chance. Correct answer for "is this a question?"is "if it is a question then it is a answer!"
