Camaman
Many players have been a source of melancholy. I leave my public chat on the OFF position. Might I suggest doing the same. leinfo
I disagree with the term wannabe mod. (Though one exeption are the Wrong-forum-post-here-in-the-future-post-can-a-mod-lock-this-I-don't-report-posts posts. Those are bad. But that's not the point.) The only reason you would say that if you were pissed off because you broke the rules and got caught. It's not the reporters fault, it's the offender. Though what that guy did was very selfish in my eyes. Whether or not you like it, the rules still exist. Even though you may disagree with them, you can still get busted for breaking them. It's your choice if you wanna break them, but don't get all pissed off because you got in trouble. I, personally like to break the "offensive language" rule to tell a joke or story. I've gotten caught once, and I had no regret. I didn't call anyone a wannabe mod or anything. All I said was "It's not them Jews that are greedy, it's them danged pures!" Not really offensive in my eyes... I guess I just upset a few of them danged pures. ... And no offense to Jewish people. I was just poking fun at the stereotype, not saying I was a racist or anything. if this is directed to me, please odnt post on this certain forum, i never said anything about wanna-be-mods, i said that i was reported for every single mishap like if i were to say didn'nt the 'nt would be censored, thereofrth casuing me to be reported by the "friend" please read my posts in the future thanks for the cropping Mr Joob =]

apcrump
 RAHK had a lot to say. I think it's kind of stupid to get drunk in the first place.... much less play rs whilst drunk i have learned a valuable life skill, never trust people. That's harsh. Never trust people you say, what about family, your friends, your soul-mate? You shouldn't trust them? Just because you were breaking the rules by trying to by-pass the censor and your friend was doing the right thing, you say EVERYONE's untrustable? =; =; =; People are trustable, it's just weeding out the trust'ee's from the baddies. hehe, how about never trust anybody on runescape? I never report people, with 2 exceptions 1- they are cheating (macroing, scamming... etc) 2- they are intentionally acting extremely inappropriate to bother people (just spamming because you think it is funny, or even having fun dodging around the censor is not serious enough to merit a ban) One time I told a slightly off-color joke, and a wanna-be mod reported me. I was terrified  I think people put far too much work into their accounts to lose it just because of some poor judgement on their part that didn't really hurt anyone. Like RAHK said, if the person is really bothering you, the ignore list is much easier. You hit the nail on the head, people have to remember runescape takes up alot of time and hard work, and now and again people will swear or curse, we are all only human and I am a bit worried about people being banned. I have also noticed an increase in 13yr old player Mods, I am not against youngsters giving it a shot, This must go to show they are reporting for every little incident to get their tally up. I'm with Bob on this one :) You should get your facts right, im 13 and i don't report everyone i see, i hardly report anyone.
mixand
They were swearing too, why didnt they get banned? "If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Decedenthope
dont trust people in general until they earn it. when someone is forced to earn respect and trust, one of 3 things could happen 1) they will disregard you, but then they arent the type to be a true friend 2) they will cherish it and do their best to keep it 3) they will earn it, wait for oppertunity to get an advantage, and break it it might not be pretty, but its realistic. people who openly trust people are the type to get hurt the most Killed Hobgoblin Champion: 1/28/07 The economy is run by 13 year olds. Pandaman115
Yes, actually, I have. I had a good friend, a very good friend. Was telling my OTHER friend about an ad on tip it jokingly going "lol, on this fan site there's an ad saying 'we can get all your lvls to'" and had to cut off cause it was getting too long. Acedently wped my very good friend saying "Lvl 90, $19.95". "WP". Of course. He reports me. I get a 1 day ban, an orange flag, and a black mark. I told him "I hope you like your modship more then your friend, jerk." [Admin Edit: No naming names in a negative light]
1withdragons
This is why nobody who I don't know in real life stays on my friends list. Only one exception to that, and I keep him on there to see what world he's in. (See my sig.) 7 months ago, shoulen m0nk lured me for everything. If you know anything about him, pm me.lol that was a good story but his eyesight must be poor... it's a well known fact that mods only drop garages on players.
treydavis
I think by "wanna-be mods" they are talking about people who report others for things like typos or misunderstandings because they desire the powers of being a pmod.

benisfab
I would like to point out that reporting every offense you see does not give you a better chance at becoming a p-mod. I have recently become a player moderater, and i did not report for everything i saw. If there was offensive language being used i would see if it was being used as offense or as a joke. Then if it was being used for offense and being used more than once i would report. Also i'd like to add i had no intention of becoming a p-mod - it came as a complete surprize - i just played the game how i liked to play it. On topic. You shouldn't try and avoid the censor unless you want to get banned... I'm sure there is no reason for you to avoid, when you can get across how you feel without swearing :shame: So i think that you would have learnt your lesson now, and won't do it again. : My Blog2 Visage Drops.Over 1800 Castle Wars Tickets..
