New Weapon, The Quickblade

This is my idea, Jagex releases a new weapon which is fast and strong, not just a mixture of strong and fast. The solution? The quickblade.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The quickblade is a 2 handed sword which requires a quest to use.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Obviously this would be members, but I hope at least some of this would be nonmembers. Please DO NOT flame about this desicion, if Jagex wants this to be members, fine. Im ok with that. Please dont flame about this.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

STEP 1 THE QUEST:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Talk to The Phinox Gang weapon master. He wants you to get a new weapon he hears of to him. He says rumor has it that i is as fast as any dagger and as strong as any warhammer. Of course it wouldnt be that strong but hey, its rumor.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. Then talk to horvik, He will tell you how to make a bronze quickblade. First you must make a bronze dagger, then a bronze warhammer. Then you must find the secret metal that fuses them together.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. To get the metal you must kill lvl 89 Metalworkers or lvl 38 Metal Apprentices. Collect 10 secret metal ores, then with 45 smithing, smith it into a fusion bar.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Then you must get the Master Hammer. This can be obtained by once again completing melzars maze ( talk to ozaich to recliam the key )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. Finding the fusion anvil. This is basiclly a lvl 3 treasure trail, but the zammy/saradomin wizards or w/e are a bit weaker. It will eventully lead you to Varrock West Bank cellar ( making use of the place). If you dig you will find a hole leading inside the vault ( or the locked room ). Keep searching the chests until you find a key.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6. Along with the key is a map, leading to your final location. It is in Draynor sewer anvil. When you are there you notice a chest. Open it with your key and u recieve a anvil tablet. Use it with the anvil ( requires 55 mage) and it will become the fusion anvil. You can now smith the bronze quickblade ( 20 smithing )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The blade has the speed of a dagger ( or at least scimmy) and strength of the warhammer of that metal.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To upgrade you quickblade you must kill a certin amount of monsters to equal a set amount of damage done. the table:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Bronze: none

 

 

 

Iron: 100 damage

 

 

 

Steel: 500 damage

 

 

 

Black :1000damage

 

 

 

Mith: 2000 damamge

 

 

 

Addy : 3000 damage

 

 

 

Rune: 4000 damage

 

 

 

Dragon: 6000 damage

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Another idea would be to increase the damage requirements:

 

 

 

Bronze: none

 

 

 

Iron: 500 damage

 

 

 

Steel: 1000 damage

 

 

 

Black :2000damage

 

 

 

Mith: 4000 damamge

 

 

 

Addy : 8000 damage

 

 

 

Rune: 16000 damage

 

 

 

Dragon: 32000 damage

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

To upgrade take it to horvik, who gives you your magic hammer back and the key. Then take you quickblade to the fusion anvil with 5 of the next metal ( you cannot skip metals) ( to dragon it requires 3 of each dragonhide)in bar form. Then you upgrade your blade.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

DRAGON QUICKBLADE SPECIAL

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This is a 75% drain.

 

 

 

when used, the next monster you click, your guy charges at him at amazing speed. You slash through the monster/person and wind up behind the thing 1/2 of the amount of squares than when you attacked it. ( If you use it on a spider 8 squares away, ull end up 4 squares behind the spider) rounded up. If you have over 75 agility ull wind up 2/3 of the distance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Each blade requires an agility lvl also,

 

 

 

bronze: 1

 

 

 

Iron: 1

 

 

 

Steel: 5

 

 

 

Black:10

 

 

 

Mith: 20

Dragon:60

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In order to even out vs. otherr weapons ive also added some more restrictions, remember that this is still a 2 handed weapon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. Like a crystal bow you have a certin amount of hits before this weapon wears out and breaks. The amount of hits is the damage rrequirement for that lvl. Bronze is half of iron ( 50 hits ) Hits decrease at double the rate in the wilderness, and triple above lvl 35 wilderness.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2. At any point you can recharge your quickblade by taking it to horvik. He charges a fee to do this, it is: the amount of hits used x 100 + ( your agility level + your attack level) times 2. So if you use a rune quickblade 20 times the fee would be ( assuming you have 40 agility and attack )5.2k i think.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. At 20 charges left your blade starts glowing after every 5 hits ( on seeable to you ) to signal that it is running out. A popup ( in game ) comes at 15 charges, or 30 charges in the wildy.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. Shuld your quickblade break you must start all over again from bronze, but u can buy a bronze quickblade from horvik for 200gp.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. The quickblade slows down and loses strength everytime you die with it ( assuming you keep it )

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

6. The quckblade will lose a round of attacking every 5 rounds, or 10 rounds on rune and dragon. The blade will simply not attack during the 6th/11th round.

Well I thought of that too. You would get the key from a phinox gang member. Thne when you enter the weapons room you still talk to the weponsmaster, he'll assign you the quest, but in a spiteful tone.

I really dont think this is that unbalanced, it can always be add slower ( scimmy speed, baxe strength ). The fact that an agility lvl requirement is added also helps even it out in my opinon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4000, 6000 monsters isnt that hard to kill. If that person who said that was smart think: rats? Because a person can just kill rats or something i decided to make it as damage not monsters to kill.

Isn't that pretty much the same concept a whip? Its strong...and as fast as a dagger. In fact, it has almost the same strength bonus as a Dragon Battle Axe.

As cool as that would be, isn't it basically the same as a whip? A whip is fast as a dagger and strong as a d b axe. But I guess this would be a good weapon for people who dont have 1.9m (me) :P

I think its useless, by the time you get to dragon, you'd probally max out your combat. Seems very long and staring at 63000 or w/e the number of rats dropping could get boring. I would just stay with the whip. Nice idea but needs more thinking. :

another idee:

 

 

 

make the quest hard... with lvl 250 monsters, and hard agility parts, and make the bronze quikblade buy able for 50k after the quest. dont let players smith it \ the quest need to be worst then dt and legends... or make it a rewart from the warrior guild, just a rare drop, not like the defenders and that youll need to get it upgraded, but just when you are fighting from bronze - rune defender youll have a chance on getting that blade. (or show a rune defender to npc (name here) and he /she will allowd you to buy a bronze quikblade for 50k.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

after you hitted 500 damage with the blade you could get back and get a iron blade, after you did 1000 damage with the iron or bronze one youll he able to get a steel one.

 

 

 

but you could just do all damage needed for dragon with the bronze one, and after you have rived the dragon one you could just start training again with the bronze - rune to get another \

 

 

 

the reson why youll have to unlock them all with only bronze is that the agility lv l can be hard to get, and when you have dragon and you dont have the agility lvl you wont be able to use it.
