Nadril
apparently 300,000 xbox 360s and 600,000 Wii have been sold since the launch of the PS3  . That old playstation games ---> PSP feature the PS3 holds was the only interesting aspect of the console, in my opinion. However they should have made it so you could download the games online and transfer to PSP as well, because a $600 console doesn't justify being able to play old games on a handheld. pompey_spud
You can play previous playstation games on it and actually DL them onto your PSP, so I could play the original Ridge Racer(thats example given from chairman of Sony) on my PSP that if you ask me is HUGE Sony, one generation backwards then.. Nintendo Wii, able to go back at least 3 generations of consoles.. Now THAT's huge. let me reword it better, the PS3 can DOWNLOAD PLAYSTATION GAMES ONTO YOUR SONY PSP, can the wii download games onto the DS? um how is that a good thing.... any of the half decent games that the playstation had that anyone would like to play again have been remade 100 times better on the psp... with the wii, you can download old classics that havent seen the light of day for decades. it is designed to bring old games back to life essentially. Faux
The most disappoining for me on the PS3 is the lack of rumble. It DOES add something. It's just what you're used to. For example, I've always played Halo2 with a controller that rumbles, and am usually the better of my ~10+ friends that play together. One time I got a no-name brand controller that didn't rumble, and you have no idea how crippled I was. I found out that I relied on how long/much my controller was rumbling to figure out how close I was to dying and if it was worth it to fight or run. It's crazy how much one thing can totally ruin you as a player. But of course if I had never used a rumble controller I would have used some other tell to tell me how close I was to dying. It was totally subconscious. Like I said earlier, PSX was the first console I've used that had a rumble in it. I had both types of controller. I had used neither controllers in the past before, but I ended up preferring the one with rumble. It's just so different to drive a car without having some feedback when you're grinding the car into the guardrails. Here's another interesting article: NY Times: The PS3 "isn't that great" http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/20/arts/ ... nd&emc=rss Howard Stringer, you have a problem. Your company̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s new video game system just isn̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t that great. unknownmasterofnothing
I don't remember what games I played on playstation. I think I played a lot of ape escape, crash bandicoot, spyro, syphon filter.
____
Yea, rumble is brilliant. I played GoldenEye without rumble for years. Then I finally got a pak and it was just "damn, how did I survive without this :|"
Faux
The only PS1 game I would love to play again would be Twisted Metal 3. Awesome co-op memories. :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::
BodomX
Yeah I was really dissapointed since PS3 didn't have rumble. Thats why they are lighter. Just thank god that they didn't stick with their old controller design for the PS3. PS3 can't technically win this console race because they loose about 200$ a console they sell since they cost around 850$ to make according to IGN. Add 1,407 posts to mine.
