I think I would have at least watched the video rather than making a blatant assumption like you are with that statement. Greatsilverwyrm
The heckler deserved it. if you've seen the video...you wouldnt think he deserved it here you go...be prepared http://youtube.com/watch?v=hNlrOx6GCFA I've seen the video, the heckler deserved it. I'm not saying Richards was dealing with the situation in an entirely appropriate way, or that he wasn't out of line at all, but it's not something to get this worked-up over. He was trying to shock the audience and the heckler to get the show moving and possibly to prove some point, some of the things he tried to say hinted at that "this shocks you..." etc.. BEAR
This wasn't an act of racism...it was an act of lunacy. The man is insane. You can see it in his paranoid stance, his awkwerd glare. I feel for him cause it's like, man...that's KRAMER. It's like when your uncle gets drunk at a wedding and starts making a fool of himself.. BEAR
But you are reinforcing the idea that having glasses is worse than not having glasses, having big ears is worse than not having big ears, and being fat is worse than not being fat. These are all ideas that our society kind of takes for granted. It doesn't mean you hate all fat people, but you are still perpetuating a system in which fat people are seen as inferior in some specific way to non-fat people. That being fat is a sign of being inferior is not only a product of our society, it's a fact of nature. PS. Sup?

In different time periods of history, sometimes extremely thin stature has been preferred, whereas in renaissance, thin people would be shunned upon as 'poor' and women would idolise fat men. There isn't really anything to support your claim. The main function of fat is to act as an energy supply in times of emergency, I actually fail to see how historically one would be benefited by being an anorectic in a situation where you live in a snowy wilderness with no civilisation around you, scarce population and even scarcer food supplies, especially if you're a female because then the big guys would even grab all the food. And women themselves do have a higher body fat percentage by nature, which is a remain from those times. I fail to see how they are 'inferior', their genes of being better at converting what you eat into fat kept them alive over the weaker females that had their family line die of extinction. Dude, I was talking about survival of the fittest. Not the thinnest. Being thin and being fat are two different unnatural states that are both equally inefficient. The only thing I was pointing out here is the scientifically solid theory of Darwin.. And in the snowlands, when a polar BEAR is trying to survive, it doesn't fill itself with fat the way humans do. Humans fill themselves with saturated fats and empty carbohydrates, a polar BEAR eats raw meat and and fish, filling its fat cells with protein. And if a human were to try this it wouldn't work, because our bodies aren't made to do this. Being fat is unhealthy. I don't have to state why that could be counter productive to ones ability to survive.

BlueLancer
Being fat is unhealthy. I don't have to state why that could be counter productive to ones ability to survive. I never said being fat is 'healthy', I constantly talk about it with some of my friends who have some overweight (some more and some less) since they bring up the subject, especially mid-body overweight can be dangerous to your health. I was commenting on your argument that "fat people are inferior". If you can point out to me why females have by nature about 6-8% higher body fat, obviously relating to the fact that in some point of history women would rather nurture a child than hunt, you can't say "fat is counter productive for survival". I also have personal experience of it since at my gym I've guided heaven knows how many clueless ladies on calculating an accurate body fat percentage with the electrical tool they have there. The result is always about at least 5% higher than for a typical male and some of those women aren't even fat at all.

BlueLancer
What's so good about Seinfeld and it's sub-crappy jokes anyways? If a show needs pre-recorded background laughs, it just reinforces the fact the producers knew they are boring. How many times during an episode of Seinfeld would you laugh without the background laughs?..Exactly, you'd turn the channel. I watched quite a few episodes of it, and this is the average joke. Now, I'll just remove the pre-recorded laugh and present it. -- Person 1. Wow, he just walked through that door. Person 2. Yes, he did. Would you now have a seat and shut up. Person 1. Okay. (silence) (scene switches over) Person 1. Why didn't you show up last night? Person 2. Because if your dumb friends stopped wasting my time, I could actually have time to do something else. Person 3. (Hears the conversation in shock) (silence) ---- Just watch House instead if you want to watch mainstream TV. The stuff the main doctor says are actually witty and sometimes funny. And there's no background laugh that makes you want to stab yourself.

Faux
Seinfeld is still the best sitcom I've seen. I still laugh when me and my friends would just recall some scenes. It's not really just the dialogue, it's about the whole flow going on. If you're gonna analyze the script, you're figuring out Seinfeld all wrong. "Cartwright?" :: Guess the Movie Contest Champion: pfilc23 ::

I hope to get Season 5+6 next for Xmas as I seen most episodes from Season 4 thanks to a friends DVD. I love this sitcom. When I went to the US I loved watching all the shows but especially Seinfeld. You cant analyse a show if you dont know the characters name also..... I love The Library episode when Georges old gym teacher kept called him "Cantstandya" instead of "Costanza". I badly want to get a Seinfeld poster but I havent seen any over here in the UK. I know they sell the painting of Kramer over in the US though....
