Michael Richards aka Kramer from Seinfeld was performing at the "Laugh Factory" IN Los Angeles when a person interupts his show and Kramer spazzes with all these racist remarks against black people and how they would of got a fork up their @##, etc.

The only way to stop "racism" is to not get so damn offended when you hear someone insult someone else that happens to be of a different color. Hell, if a black guy calls another black guy that same word, they are just joking, right? It's not offensive, of course not! But, when a white guy says it... you better watch out! Zonorhc Completly sumed it up for me. People need to stop getting worked up over words, and think about what the actual problem is. An insult is an insult, no matter what race you are.

Isnt he whole point of comedy about taking the p out of some group or another. Nads right, its not the word thats racist its what's implied by it. Like the way that "queer" has been reclaimed by homosexuals and is not considered offensive black people can do the same.

Difference is, the heckler is someone who makes fun of past their sell by date celebrities. No-one's gonna give a damn what he said in the matter.

What's so taboo about the word [racist term] anyway? Black people use it everyday. What makes them so special that it should be banned for every other ethnicity? Oh yeah, they were slaves.. wait no, they have never seen a grain of soil in Africa nor am I one of the white people that oppressed them.

The comedian lost it but I don't really think this is an issue of racism anymore than calling someone a b*itch is an issue of sexism. Sure, the word has racist connotations but the issue is that he was mad so he was calling them names. Well, as it wasn't part of the show but just an insult to a heckler, I don't think it's a good thing. So yea, it's racist and it was meant to harm somebody. It's good that he appologized though. And I bet he didn't do it to save his own skin, he looked very sincere.

He had a point that made it funny, as a comedian, when he said "50 years ago you would have been hanging upside down from a tree, and now you've got the right to talk so you come in here and heckle me." or something like that. He could have done it with much more class and made the guy look like a complete fool, but instead he just made himself look like a racist idiot.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Not like it matters. Who really cares about THAT guy these days? I mean, he's performing at the Laugh Factory...The only people who go there are relatively unknown comics and washed-up comics, lol.

I really think that its great that he apologized. He seemed really sorry for the terrible things that he said and hopefully people dont get too upset about it.

Yes but there are heckler's every comedy stand up that fool with the comedians. I think he took it too far..but I still like him.

At least he got himself to make an apology and not have a publicist do it for him. To me, that just means more. Some criticize that his apology stunk and that it could've been better. However, they missed the point that he he at least made such an apology, and hopefully his PR skills will eventually hone in to make a "better apology" if he desires. We've seen that Mel Gibson apologized several times for his remarks when he was arrested, and it's likely that Richards would be doing the same, although from what I can tell, the media has more or less gone, "Meh, show's over. The guy apologized. NEXT!" :|
