My good things: -I became more social -Had a nice vacation to Greece <3 -School year went good, no bad grades -Got myself a nice mp3-player -I quited Runescape :D My bad things: -Lost a girl I met in Greece (I don't know her e-mail) :wink: -Condition of my grandma went backwards Now I see the points, it was a pretty good year for me. :) So, how was your year in 2006? The state of my family has improved dramatically. Got an iPod. Started the saxophone and apparently I'm gifted! (Or so my teacher says) Quit the piano and ballet lessons Taken up French and Latin. (I've always wanted to learn another language) Taken up ballroom and latin (dancing) Getting good marks. Got my ears pierced. I went to north Wales and spent a fortnight there with a few of my previous classmates, it was heaven! I became 12! I'm looking forward to seeing Peter Pan (panto form) and a New years eve party on the 31st. Edit - I quit Runescape too. I have become a more active member of the forum, and the Author's guild. Finished my first proper, long story. Started my second proper, long story and planning in great detail. Developed a friendship which has been hanging on a thin thread for a long time, sorted things out with a friend. Bad Things - I have lost a good friend. I have argued with someone. I think I've become less confident around other people. I wish I hadn't had to move schools as I'm not reeeally enjoying it. I've been ill quite a bit. Overall... I can't say. Why should Jan 1st be a time when I judge the last 365 days, decide whether it was good or bad, and then start again? It encourages you to mindlessly go for a whole year with your head down, taking things as they come, without thinking. Every decision is a new start :) a new opportunity for good and bad :D For it is the greyness of dusk that reigns.The time when the living and the dead exist as one. insane Posted December 11, 2006 Share Posted December 11, 2006 Good: -I survived the hardest semester I'll ever have at university (with honours to boot!) -Made some new friends -Am gaining/have gained experience in my future field -Exams will be over in 4 days and then I can do whatever I want for 3 weeks! Bad: -Lacking a social life at the moment. A few of my friends are being quite exclusive with their girlfriends but I know they're just in the "infatuation stage" so we'll start hanging out again soon. -Currently do not have a summer job lined up. I could list that I got a wii, an ipod, got accepted into the colleges I wanted, but that doesn't sum up a year. I think... the positives have definately outweighed the negatives: Good points: Got awesome results in my exams Left school, started A-Levels at college Met up with Stine, a Norwegian friend since I was 9 And Marlon, whom I and a friend knew from Runescape Went camping in Holland and had an awesome time Got a job, and thus, money! And my own computer Finished with my boyfriend just because it wasn't right Joined the OoC! Best decision of my Internetting life Who cares about the bad points? Live life positively!! Started watching Bleach and anime 2. Musical preference increased and improved immensely 3. Got a puppy 4. Started going to school dances (and realized that they were really fun) 5. Improved Runescape stats dramatically 6. Got better at my saxophone 7. Made new friends 8. Got more assertive ~Bad Things~ 1. Got scammed 25 million gp 2. Bad things: -Lost brother (as in he won't ever see me till I'm 18) -Failed Track -Got rejected -Not doing so hot this year -Lost friends. Nearly died last year. My bad things: -Lost couple friends, more importantly, my girlfriend, who was my best friend for a year and a half. :cry: -Other grandfather died :cry: -First season I'm not playing organized sports since 1997.
