  1. One aspect is the recognition. With that little silver crown next to your name, do you get more good attention or bad attention? I think that overall you get good attention. Passers by acknowledge that you've done well in the game and like to talk to you. The bad recognition comes from jealousy. There are many 'good' players in RuneScape, yet not all are moderators. The other is a matter of corruption. Does getting that crown corrupt some people? Does it make them "power-hungry" and/or abuse their powers? Nah, I don't know any player Mods who abuse powers despite how much others around them want them to :) Sometimes I feel a bit uneasy talking to my friends who are Moderators though... you think that you've got to act properly :D So the question is, does being a Moderator in game overall hinder or ease your gaming experience? It shouldn't matter, you're still the same person.
  2. If it's a her... a toy horsey and a spinning plate :) As well as other things, but I always find those toys a good laugh. You get your gp's worth for at least 5 minutes :D I always like to recieve specific items that would get me to the next level in a skill, eg, giving her enough steel bars to get to the next smithing level, or enough coals and iron, or enough logs for the next firemaking, etc etc. Just a thought :
  3. Just reinforces how careful you've got to be I guess, and perhaps that's a good thing. In any location that you can talk to people, there will always be these kind of risks. Runescape itself wasn't blamed, the last sentence just said about technology in general.
  4. Nice one Howwy! Make me a addy kite shield when you get there, those things look cool :D How long will 113 combat take?
  5. F2P's not bad as long as you set yourself some goals. I went F2P for a few months during this Spring, and havign set myself some skill goals for fishing, woodcutting, etc, I found myself with not enough time on my hands. However, if you're faced with a day when you don't feel like skilling, members can offer a huge variety and you can NEVER be bored (in my experience) :)
  6. That sword after doing the demon quest, silverlight! (I think, was it?) yep, that was awesome :) Also my tinderbox, which I still have. The only one since Tut Island.
  7. Try adding a few people who are on the 'Who to donate to' list and then just PM them when they're online. I can't speak for others, but my Chat's generally always 'On'. NAD! This is a really fun event. It gets up your smithing, crafting or whatever levels because you have to make the stuff that perhaps you wouldn't do otherwise. It brings you together a community, you can meet new friends who are also donating to this, and who will be there on the weekend. You also get that amazing feeling of spreading happiness and good. Imagine what it was like when you started out, you would have been overjoyed if someone had given you a set of iron and answered a few questions for you :)
  8. Most useful is probably magic - I love the ability to teleport. Most used - Definately combat stats, but if those are excluded, maybe fishing and cooking. Most un-useful - Firemaking :?
  9. I think that it's a great idea, avoids luring, adds that extra 'Danger!' impact, and makes for great jumping screen-shots :D It's not 'that' much extra hassle for RuneCrafters and stuff, just one little click.
  10. Oo I didn't know this was happening, great luck to both of you! I give you the privilege of train on willows with me some day
  11. First time was just the dream of being a member and having a much bigger huger world. The second was because of construction. That was a great way to get old members back!
  12. My life is now complete! *slaps head* It all makes sense... Oh and yes, if picking alone, drag some friends along. Double the fun!
  13. I think that a way to make Agility more popular might be to create more shortcuts and things because they make a noticable difference during your every day RuneScape life. I like agility, but it does take a while to train. I find it pretty useful sometimes, and fun.
  14. I think the price is really suitable. If it was raised then I might reconsider paying for it but at the moment it doesn't seem like much at all :)
  15. Abbooout 20, mainly because lots of OoCers are also tipiters, though I have got a few people that I've met a TET events and the like.
  16. A turtle would be totally cool but he probably wouldn't be much good for company. A hamster could work for that, but their cages stink, you have to clean them regularly, and they keep you up in the night!
  17. I really want to when I'm old enough. I think that's its an awesome idea. And there are so many statistics about the amount of people whose lives are saved due to people giving blood. My problem is that I'm not heavy enough... my mum couldn't give blood at 17 cos of the same problem, and I've inherited her small genes. I'm so small that if they took blood out of me I'd die or shrivel up :? When I'm older and fatter (teehee) I'll definately give blood. And in the mean time, someone who wouldn't will have to do it for me *looks around*
  18. Cabbage Patch! Winner for scenic village: Taverly Scenic town: Falador Scenic path: Bit between Lumby and Draynor, via the Goblins Scenic water: Catherby beach Overall scenic place: Goblin Stronghold/Grand Tree. By far.
  19. First day: "What level am I? 3? Cool, I thought that I was level one."
  20. Same here. Though whilst we're on the topic (kinda :? ) I like the different variations at Christmas and Halloween etc.
  21. At the time, I thought "Fantastic idea!" and in some ways still do. This might have been mainly to do with the fact that I was F2P at the time, having been P2P. Therefore all my essence was made into pure essence and I sold only about 200 and gained quite a considerable about a gold, from not much work. I thought that it was a good idea because I'm one of those stingy people who refuse to spend money on essence or ores when you can get them for yourself. So if I needed pure ess, I just mined it. One of the little problems with this system that annoys me is that I can't bring myself to craft airs using the pure ess because I consider it a 'waste', even though it takes the same amount of my time to mine as the normal stuff. Thus, I've crafted less because I don't want to waste that on some F2P runes that I could craft with normal ess. As far as autoers: they'll always find a way of getting around things. For the money that they gained during those first few weeks I suppose that ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã3.20 wasn't that much to pay. I'm not a genius on the way that autoing works but I'm sure there's ways of evasion. And the favourite rune for most players to craft seems to be airs and for that normal essence is fine and pure has no purpose. Overall, good move. It didn't particularly harm me and makes the pure essence a bit more expensive for those who just buy their way through skills.
  22. Just the one :D I really don't have any need for other accounts. Though I might make just 1 other sometime.
  23. Even I thought about just going mad at a skill just for one of the capes. And my stats are absolutely useless. I believe that even if you 'buy for a skill cape' its still incredibly worthy for two reasons. 1. Persistance. You still need to do all that clicking even if you buy the stuff, which takes time and effort (assuming that its done legally). 2. Original money. Buying hundreds of thousands of logs for the firemaking cape isn't cheap. The buyer must have done something to get the money in the first place, which also requires effort. Overall: Anyone with a skill cape deserves one.
  24. Autoers. They don't affect me but beggers and scammers are real people playing that you have to remember just act differently to yourself. Autoing is a whole different category.
  25. 1 year and 9ish months. Level 73 ^_^ 4 combat levels in the past 9 months.
