darkmage099
What do you want, a medal? It isn't that big of a deal. You stumped a teacher on a ridiculously easy question. Thymine CANT bond with Thymine. I am surprised your teacher did not know that. By the way, this does not make you smarter than the teacher. What's wrong with hypothetics? Since they can take an electron off of the noble gasses, they might be able to get thymine and thymine to bond together Okay: Prof: Naturally, Thymine and Thymine cannot bond together. They MAY be able to bond together in a lab. Why don't you do a two page essay on it and bring it in tomorrow so you can enlighten us on why Thymine does not bond with Thymine naturally and if there has been any research done on bonding Thymine and Thymine? Better answer? Way to miss the point. Yer, this is what I got off of your statement. You said: It might be possible for Thymine to bond with Thymine in a lab or something like that. My response: Yeah they can, but naturally, it does not happen. I believe this was previously explained. I just added stuff. Either you did not understand what I said for whatever reason that may be, or I did not get what I was supposed to from your post (not exactly my fault). Alright(this is going to come out bad since I'm not really sure how to explain it D=), usually -good- teachers don't act like your example. It could have been done in a lab, but the teach didn't know if it had been done, which is why he said I don't know. In your example the teacher was an [wagon] and decided that the kid was just being a smart [wagon](which isn't what he was trying to be and I think the teacher realized that)., and I don't know how to end this post >_> Haha, I was joking. I do not really expect the teacher to do that. It would be slightly funny to the other classmates. There is no need to get all nervous if you dont know something. fgfuyfyuiuy0
He said today that he looked it up, so we're doing an experiment next class to see what happens. Futurama
Once in junior school we had a sub and we were doing magic squares, and she thought 3 x 3 was 12. dumb twit... no word of a lie, she started bashing her head off the board because she realised how stupid she was. to be fair i probably would if i was shown up in math by a bunch of 10 year olds... foolgool
Happens a lot in math class. Since my class +2 classes in advanced where normal is, if you see a mistake and correct it, you get a bonus point :oPssh.. My geometry teacher gives us a cookie. I've never been able to stump a teacher, although I think that my geometry teacher is one that I can try. The code in my sig should say 1032 not 0132. Viktorkrum77
Today in my art class, my teacher got mad at me for proving her wrong, and I wasn't alone either. We were talking about IKEA, and she said it was a Canadian company, and so me and another person corrected her saying, no it's a Scandinavian company. So she tried to avoid that she was wrong by making up an excuse that there are only stores in Canada. And we said again, no and that they just built some in Detroit and Chicago. Then she got really made at me, but not the other person. I don't like when teachers can't accept they are wrong. Me doing staff.
Futurama
Accept dude, not except :) sorry to be corrective, hahah. But yeah, it's stupid when people can't admit they're wrong. The other day my mum locked the back door up when she came in really wasted and in the morning woke me up, tore me out of bed and said find the keys you lost now. When I found them on the side behind a load of junk, she said "well don't look at me!" then started moaning I don't have a job. Can't remember who said it but someone said being wrong is one of the hardest things for humans to admit. Guess it's true, but geez.

Viktorkrum77
Yea, the founder is like the third richest guy in the world. Kind of weird too, considering all he found was one furniture store. It doesn't quite add up, am I missing something here? Me doing staff.
Futurama
Hahahah. at the risk of people telling me I dont get the joke, just in case you're serious, but "founder" they mean the person who set up the company :P

What has he done that has earned him the third richest person in the world? I guess you could say the same for like the fourth richest guy who owns the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. Because I know of Las Vegas casino owners who own 3 times as many hotels, but they aren't as rich. What am I missing, seriously?? Do they have partnerships in other companies as well? Me doing staff. Futurama
nah, he just controls ikea and gets profit from all the profit they make because he's the one who came up with the idea of ikea and got it all started. yaknow, like the guys who own mcdonalds and burger king, they're rolling in it because instead of owning one shop and getting money from that, they own thousands. considering they have superstores worldwide, tḫ̩̉̉y make a lot of profit, and the guy up top gets a large share of it. BlueLancer
Ikea is huge. He gets personal cheques worth hundreds of millions yearly just for the franchising costs he charges those chains, and probably a salary for being the chairman of the company. Of course he will earn more than a guy who owns even 20 hotels. :P And even if Ikea sold nothing for the whole year, he loses out on nothing. Ikeas don't channel all of their profits into a single bank account, the franchisers get to keep a lions share, as long as they send the annual payment to the papa. ____
Oh yeah for the record, there's a bunch over here in England too :)And they just finished building a new one near my Work, it's about 5x larger than their previous store (which is amusingly) just 5 minutes up the motorway - and that's been there for a good 15 years easily. Anyhow, teacher who accept defeat and are like "true, that is correct" when you spot their mistakes generally make an effort to improve their quality of work. And occasionally, throw in mistakes to see who is paying attention (like some of my uni lectureres would do).
gunker1991
The secret at Ikea is that they use a strategie called Global Marketing. They use the same strategie and assortment everywhere, This way the can easily get many scale benefits which reduces their cost.Which leaves them with more money to invest into new stores. Global Marketing means that they don't change there strategie, they offer the same products everywhere. Benefits: Scale benefits(cheaper production) Don't have change their offer from countr to country Don't need to watch the culture/race/religion in the country they are at. How many 'scapers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?501 to screw it in and 49 to complain how better it was before. Was signed,Kioh Twan
