December 23, 200619 yr All life on earth is made up of carbon, water and oxygen...these 3 elements are the best building blocks for life - especially carbon, because it can bond to different kind of chemicals - but silicon can replace carbon - although its less likely to bond - and ammonia for water...both are less optimal for life but are more likely than most other elements to create life... Well...what do you think...silicone based life-forms would be more like crystals.... they̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d be able to withstand higher temperatures but they're be less efficient in the way their body works...they̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢d be more susceptible to our disease because their chemical makeup would be less able to cope with our germs Scientists think that if there is ''extra-terrestrial life'' that they wouldn't be too dissimela to us. they'de probably have eyes, a digestive system, motorary system (muscles) and some kind of skeletal system...although the idea of a spine would probably be unique. they would have to have some kind of hand or....grabber. Eyes would have to be the most likely because there have been many kind of eyes evolve on earth with different mechanics I believe that if the Universe is truly ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åinfinite̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâà Why Do We Kill People Who Kill People to Show That Killing People Is Wrong? December 23, 200619 yr Sure, there has to be some sort of life somewhere in the universe, it is ridiculous to think that we are the only examples when you consider how massively huge the whole of the universe is. Whether we'll ever find them, let alone manage to communicate/meet up somewhere is another problem, again due to the size of the universe. What you said about them being similar would probably be true, i agree with that. RM "A disbelief in magic can force some poor souls into believing in authority and business"
December 23, 200619 yr there's something out there no doubt. i just doubt we'll ever be able to find and/or communicate with it. i think we'll find amoebas and crap before we find any intelligent lifeforms.
December 23, 200619 yr remember life can be anything, things always find a way of adapting to any circumstance, it's taken millions of years for us to evolve to what we are today. Life has had Billions of years, just think of what could be out there.. Maybe things are living in the core of the earth? ya neva know cus we aint bin there haha, but definately things will be living out there, plants are considered living things.
December 23, 200619 yr i agree i reckon theres heaps of plants out there on distant planets but there could also be humans too a different earth but there same spieces, or other animals, or nothing we have ever seen or could think of but i wanna no if there is aliens are they more civilised or like prehistoric coz on movies its always, aliens invade earth, they are much more smarter with better technolegy and weapons, earth attacks but loses, earth finds a loophole, earth strikes back, earth drives them away, or kills them never movies of future earth attacking, always present earth defending thanks to mitsubishi64 who made this sig
December 23, 200619 yr they wouldn't be too dissimela to us. they'de probably have eyes, a digestive system, motorary system (muscles) and some kind of skeletal system i agree, the human body is the epitome of the use of matter to make life. Super efficeient (if you dont abuse it) and with huge potential. The 'design' (if you would call it that) is superior.
December 23, 200619 yr There possibly could be humans or offshoots of humans. Because there are a lot of believers that humans are not native to earth. But that we were brought to Earth by aliens. And another one is that we were cave men then geneticly modified to be stronger and smarter. thats why they say civilisation suddenly sprouted. But this is only a theory and i dont personally believe it a 100 percent but its cool to think about. December 23, 200619 yr so far 200 planets have been discovered with no life, but theres bound to be some out there, its probbly not gonna reach us
December 24, 200619 yr theres plenty of life out there, most of its probaly microbes. maby we will get lucky and meet a alien race some day thats alien enough from us to be free of greed and hostile intent. then we would be the invadors most likely and wipe them all out with small pox. that said I dont think intelegent life outside of this planet would want anything to do with us, just look at our history and you can see just how dangorous the human race is. unlike in the moves it would probaly be earth on the offensive trying to exterminate rather than understand.
