December 24, 200619 yr About ten days ago, I received a PM from our own Trapical. He explained that he usually posts something for the community around Christmas time as sort of a gift. :D He said that he was going to be on vacation and away from the forum this Christmas and trusted me with the task of posting his gift this year. :D I would like to tell Trapical that I am honored to have his trust, and that he is a very thoughtful guy for thinking of us during the Holiday season. I hope that he is having a good time in Hawaii! So here it is! I hope you all like it! Happy holidays to you all! ------ Hey guys, Merry Christmas Eve everyone! Kayla was kind enough to post this for me as right now I am in Hawaii (I know, poor me). Anyway, as some of you might recall I like to give a little something to the Tip.It community every Christmas. While I can't hand out presents in the normal sense, I can give you something from the Internet that I cherish. My '04 Christmas thread has been deleted but the '05 one is still here. This year I offer you all two gifts. You may take one, both, or none. But who would refuse a free gift? ;) Gift One Everyone has MP3s, and everyone listens to them on some player or another. iTunes organizes your songs, WinAMP is compact, and Windows Media Player is convenient. Also, everyone knows that slowing down songs makes the voices slow and serious, and speeding them up makes everyone sound like chipmunks. People are still fascinated by this, as YouTubeand ebaum's often have them on their front page. Personally, I laugh at how crude that is and how so few people seem to know of this spiffy program that I found a few years back: AV Mp3 Player Morpher First off, I apologize for having to use Putfile.com, but they are the only site that would agree to me using there bandwidth for MP3s. Anyway, back to the program. This spiffy little program lets you "morph" a song in a multitude of ways. Meaning? Well for starters you can change the pitch and timbre of any song without speeding it up or slowing it down. Example: "Lets Get it Started, as sang by the Black Eyed Chipmunks " Oh and on a similar note, here is a clip of a chipmunks song as it is normally, and then I flip the switch on and off that lowers the pitch.(Warning, the guy sounds creepy!) Cool huh? In addition to that it can do things like making it sound like everyone is a robot, speeding up or slowing down songs without changing the pitch, and a bunch of other cool things. Some more things I hastily put together - Satan sings a duet in the Sound of Music - Messing around with the tempo on and old classic - Robots sing a duet! It's free, and it's my gift to you guys Gift One ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ AV Mp3 Player Morpher Gift Two Ha, you probably all forgot there was a second gift! This one is a bit more serious, it is a song by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Most of you know them for their instrumental Christmas remixes. While those are all good songs, the one I am speaking of is actually a vocal song: Anno Domine. It is not a typical Christmas song. Sadly, I'm willing to bet half of the people that might hear this on the radio would change stations quickly since at first it sounds quite silly with such a loud choir and little background music. But this song means a lot to me. The lines "Realize that the past can be forgotten, the future can be rewritten" really helped me out during some tough times, and I figure it's also a good song for an international forum like this one "where every man regardless of his nation, ancestral relations̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâæ" Gift Two ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ Anno Domine Anno Domine means "the year of our lord", it is what the A.D. in (2006 AD) stands for. Anyway I hope you enjoy these gifts and Merry Christmas to all you guys! - Trapical PS - Once again, my thanks to Kayla for allowing these gifts to be posted to be in my absence
December 24, 200619 yr Well I'm probably not going to use the first gift, and I didn't feel like downloading that second gift, but I just wanted to say that was very thoughtful of you Trapical (and you Kayla for posting this xD), so thank and have a Merry Christmas in Hawaii =) Last.fm: http://www.last.fm/user/Aaronm14/MY FAVORITE BAND:http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fu ... d=64310717And the bible is the big book of lies, call me a racist if you must.

But I've been here much longer  Anyways I think I'm going to play around with that first gift for a bit. Seems like it could be fun : And Happy Holidays to everyone! I probably won't be around much tomorrow. Edit: A tiny bit of my history.. I signed up my original account on August 16, 2004 but I changed to this name on June 14, 2006. I've actually been around for multiple Christmases (is that honestly the plural of Christmas or am I going crazy?) but this is the first I'll be celebrating on this account : Internet Marketing For Newbies

December 24, 200619 yr Very neat of you Trapical, I really enjoyed the second song. Awesome ^^ Have fun and happy holidays! "Metal isn't about violence or faggy whiny lyrics. It isn't even about who plays the heaviest and fastest. It is about invoking a sense of wonder and magnitude that no other genre can depict."
December 25, 200619 yr I listened to the second song, thank-you! what a great idea for christmas :o) For it is the greyness of dusk that reigns. The time when the living and the dead exist as one.
